My cat did that once when the vet was prodding him around a lot - he just sat down on her bench and did the hugest pooh you've ever seen - I didn't know where to put my face:o:o

Spoon, I have another wrong picture in my head. My imagination just runs riot sometimes! I hope you chose the right place to put your face and you didn't leave with a new brand of face pack :D ....
You may have noticed my keeping quiet..I just don't trust myself to be diplomatic so keep schtum :rotfl:--my sense of humour has gotten me into a few predicaments before now :o

I must be a terrible person, as the Election is not something that has held my attention. I do vote, but all that tittle-tattle from the 'advisors' & back-stabbing from the politicians does naff awl for me. If my lot get in--great!--but who-ever it is, let them work with the best there is around them from whichever political persuasion, & get the Great back into Britain

Good afternoon all, have spent money today but should be on course for a NSD tomorrow.

Thrifty - I think elderflowers are the umbelliferous ones that smell of tom cat's piddle.

  • Anyone see Brighton Pier on the news this morning (think it was Sky)? Looks good, and they've got a new Green Party MP so they must be very MSE down there!

And......if they're all Greens.....PDDs aliens will fit right in, along with the many Star Wars costumes :T

BigMummaF: The 'Scooter Boys' come to Yarmouth every Whitsun Bank Holiday, not quite as butch as those bikers but still worth a look :D. We also have a weekly bike meet at a local pub every Friday night from Spring to Autumn. We live just off the main road so for four hours solid on a Friday night the dog goes barking mad , she hates noisy bikes.
Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

    Hi jinty
Brilliant news about the car and what a lovely man for not charging you - hang onto him, there aren't many like that around nowadays:j, and yay to the tax rebate as well:j

    It's a pleasure - really pleased you've perked up again now:A.
Glad the knitting is going well, your new cardi sounds great, hope you get it finished soon. Great idea to start on something with chunky wool to give you some encouragement - I remember knitting a top and cardigan in 4-ply (before I got some sense;)) - the 6 inches of rib at the bottom took me forever, never mind the rest of it.

Hope the spends today weren't too painful.

    Hi Spoon, hi all!

I will def be hanging onto to my new mechanic - I think Im in love !:rotfl:
Thanks for the encouragement re knitting :A- I also have terrrible memories of being taught to knit using a ghastly green 4ply as a child. I think thats why its taken me nearly 50 years to have another go at it!
Im afraid Im being very slow out of the blocks this month, today the dog has been to the dog grooming salon - £36 for hairdo for His Majesty:eek: so no NSD for me today. I'm taking the cost out of his biscuit money, LOL!
Hopefully tomorrow and Monday will be NSD's as have no need to buy anything ( will confirm in due course);)

    Have a lovely day all!:)

Yesterday was my NSD #3 this month.

Today's been low spend - just some fruit and veg from the market.
    Debt Jan 2008: £45,566. *** June 2013: DEBT FREE! ***
Paid back just under £50,000 due to some interest added.

Agree BigMumma, I feel like banging their heads together and telling them to get on with doing what's important - sorting this country out - rather than slagging each other off all the time:(

I'm declaring today a NSD as I have no intention of leaving the house again! I also had a few too many glasses of homebrew last night, spent too long staring at my snowball willing it to get smaller and made an extra payment to a CC which was probably a bad move!

Hope everyone is OK - a bit quiet on here today, hopefully that means you are all off doing exciting things with your Saturday afternoon! xx
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon ....
