They have been called the 'ghost estates' of the Irish Republic - about 300,000 homes built in the frenzy of the property boom that no-one wants to live in now.

very eerie. that poor lady on an empty estate. house looked ok - wrong location.
(demolishing seems a bit drastic - they arent going to get any money back by levelling the place.?).0 -
they don't want Scum to have them - good job too.0

And yet some people think house prices won't fall here.
Looks like Ireland will recover quicker than the UK as they are lettting the markets correct rather than proping them up.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

I have no sound ... why demolish perfectly good houses? What's that all about then?
What happens on the money front? I mean, if they rented them out at half price they'd have an income, if they demolish them there's no income and more expense.0 -
Ironic.... "The immigrants that drove the diggers have gone home" as i always said they took the cream as they did here and ran.
No doubt some will be back to demolish them...
They listened to the EA's and banks and fell for it.I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0
