I'm off to Manchester tomorrow. Does anyone know if there still any bargains to be had or am I too late as usual?

I bought one on the 17th August, took it back today, they refunded 74.99 back to my card and allowed me to buy it back for 10.00. What a nice lady she was as well, she was the manageress and went out of her way to be as helpful as she could  cheers boots one very happy little girl on christmas morning. :money:

did you take it back to the store you got it from?

I managed to get 2 Ipod shuffles 1gig in Yeovil today for £10 each, the girl said that they had only been reduced this morning, and there were some more in the back.

I went into the Boots in the precinct in Yeovil at around 2 pm today. I asked about the 1gb Ipod Shuffles and they said the last two had been bought half an hour earlier. They made it clear to me that there were no more left.

I did get some Masterplug 4 gang basic (Essentials) extension leads, which were marked up at 99p, but scanned at 50p. I also got a Masterplug Surge Protected 3 way socket for £2.49, which is about a third of what they are in B&Q. They also had some Nike Philips FM armband radios which were supposedly originally £29.99 for £5.

  • I picked up a couple of Sony Walkman MP3 players (originally £89 each, down to £10), a Shuffle speaker thing (£5 down from £35) and another Philips Shoqbox (£10 down from something like £70) today. All items were still marked up at the original prices. The cashier looked shocked when the £89 Sony MP3 player scanned at £10. So much for Norwich having nothing left, which is what I was told on the phone. Castle Mall definitely had a few bits and bobs. Nice empty space where the 1GB Ipods used to live, though...and a nice £99 SEL still visible.

Now, should I take back the Nintendo DS and PS2 bundles I picked up before they dropped everything down to silly prices? Hmm... The store knocked the DS bundle down to £30 anyway, and included a DS case for free. Not sure I can get the thing away from my DS.

Hi I was wondering if the DS has dropped in price too? I bought one at £38.74 cos I thot it was a good deal but if it has gone down to £10 also, the money would come in really handy.

Do I just do as a previous poster did and say I heard it came down in price and wondered what the chances are of a refund. That sounds dead cheeky so need to think of nicer way of putting it. Plus another store sent it to my local store as it is so small that they don't sell electrical so would I still get refund?

:A Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. :A
