As mentioned in my previous post the main CS head office don't seem to be reliable in finding stock, and that they are roughly telling everyone that there is no stock left at all.
You need to find the closest stores to yourself which stock electrical items and give them all a ring. I've found that the photo processing department of most stores seems to handle the console item side of things. You need to ask them to physically go and have a look out the back where the stock is kept for the type of boxes this stuff would of been delivered to the store in. Them going over to a shelf on the shop floor and saying no we don't have any is not going to locate them.
There are still items out there to be found.
Cheers

Just bagged myself a Philips personal sound system (a portable rechargeable 256MB MP3 player, with built in FM radio and clock) for £10 from the Banbury store. Top birthday present for the brother-in-law
Got a £5 skincare voucher as well, which I used for skin cream for Mrs Biglugs. So for £10 I got an MP3 player/radio, 40 Advantage points and a small pile of brownie points!
They also had two digital radios but these were scanning at £89.99 (I checked on two different tills) so I left them.
Woman on the photo counter looked at me like I was a rather unpleasant alien when I asked if they had any Xboxes, so I took that as a no and didn't ask her to check the stock cupboard. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
Forgot to mention - the Banbury store had one Ipod Shuffle Pocket Party speaker system hanging on shelf labelled at £5. Think this is the same as this one so looks like a bargain:

hokers wrote:Ah yes because anyone buying multiples on one item MUST be putting them straight on ebay and making cash from sales, as opposed to saving that same cash by not spending it on presents for other people and giving them the item instead. Clearly an important distinction.Perhaps we should have a society where every bargain is shared out equally to everyone, COMMUNally owned you might say. I wonder if anyone has thought of that idea before...Forgive my cynicism - but I don't think there's a vast problem here. If you monitor the forums regularly enough and act early enough for a new bargain you've got a good chance.
While you are right in what you say, and yes it is first come, first served, the person who brought 3, so her kids could have 1 each in their bedrooms, whats the point in that? Two lots of electric, do they need two lots of every game so they don't argue over that too? What ever happened to sharing and 2-players, when I was young, that was all the fun.....
1 per customer would make it fairer on everyone regardless!
Please don't take this the wrong way anyone, just putting some thoughts out there.
Cangrats to anyone who got 1,2 or 10!!!!

Simpson's 10 litre mini cooler £12.50 in Leeds Bond Street. Trying mine out now. Think they were probably around £50 but, for comparison, the same model and size in Next Clearance (without the duff beer print on the outside) is currently £27.49 from something like £64.99.
I agree buying 3 xboxes does not necessarily mean they're going to Ebay, but I still think it would be fairer if you were allowed only one, then I had a better chance of getting one myself. And if you really needed another you could buy second hand or look for it at it's cheapest (albeit more expensive) elsewhere using the money you saved.BARGAINADDICT wrote:sorry if ths seems like a daft question, but missed all this clearence stuff(school hols!!)
are the deals only instore or are they online aswell? Also keep looking in different Boots stores... There are still bargains to be had, even if it isn't an xbox for £10.

woodstoke wrote:I am the person who bought 3 xboxes from Lincoln......one each for my two boys as they have separate bedrooms and one put away for an xmas present for my neice who is 10. So please no assumptions on the people who buy more than one product as i am sure, if you were given the option you would purchase more at a giveaway price....... maybe next time a bargain is thrown your way your opinions will change......:A
I say good on you, you got to them first, you deserve them, I certainly know i'd have gotton 2 if I had the opportunity!~*Cerenia*~
