Just come back from lincoln high street where a nice SA called Maggie reserved me all 3 xbox bundles for £10, apparantly she got in trouble for reserving as they are not supposed to do this, but she did'nt seem to mind......but if they get any more in i reckon the staff will grab them....julie:beer:

Is there any official line on what price these XBOX's are supposed to be. My wife managed to locate one and was told its scanning at £140 as several people had asked! Not really knowing what was what she left it.

The only thing the assistant did say was that all the others had gone and wasn't sure why that one hadn't.

I have asked twice in Lincoln and been told that they weren't one of the stores allocated any of this stock!

There is only one xbox left in the country ( according to cs ) and that`s located in cheltenham if that helps anyone.

I wonder what database they use. Didn't someone say that CS said only Cardiff and Glasgow had them today. Seems the stores database and the CS one don't talk to one another.

I called Customer Services again this afternoon about what had happened to me at my local store (my posts on previous page). I was put onto the CS Supervisor who took all the details including the sales assistant and manager's names. She took my number and said she will call me back after getting onto the store. I haven't heard back yet, hopefully tomorrow.

i have done the same because my local store where awful yesterday customer services have rang my local store and have given me a £15 gift card for my trouble i am pretty pleased as the x box was only £10 in the first place but am not that happy that i missed out because of my store

Ok heres the score.

Don't go by what the main Boot's Customer Service inform you concerning stock at stores. Phone your local branch yourself and ask them to go have a look.

Secondly the price at the main Customer Service office is incorrect and not showing the same price as the systems instore. The sonic/simpsons + extra controller xbox bundle shows as £74.98 still at the main CS but £10 on the boot's stores systems. However all the people I spoke to at the main CS did investigate or already know that it should be £10.

Following information is only relevant to the XBOX CONSOLE+SIMPSONS HIT & RUN+SONIC HEROS + EXTRA CONTROLLER BUNDLE. The contents look like this:



Enquire at your local store if they have any xbox's/bundles, If they have the above pack your lucky. They are marked up at a range of prices as high as £149.99 If they will reserve it fantastic and get down there asap.

Barcode on the actual xbox black packaging will be totally wrong for scanning - what you need is the original brown cardboard box the xbox+games+extra controller arrived at the store in. The important number on the brown box the is 3299988

When typed into the boot's store till it will show as £10. Remember this still shows as £74.98 at the main CS office for some reason.

If they start to complain about it being a pricing error then get them to call the main boots CS number and talk to an advisor, they DO know this is a genuine price reduction and will verify it, they are telling people that there is no stock left showing in any stores as well!

Grab your xbox+games+controller (plus a £5 voucher for skin products I was given) + any boots points and leave store a happy bunny.

Just got an Xbox and a GBA SP Tribal for £10 each from Guildford - none left I'm afraid.

Also an Ipod car kit and an Apple branded Ipod dock for £3 and £5.

Well impressed

They said they had had ipod shuffles in for £10 each that morning but had sold them all, so it might be worth checking with CS if there are any of those left anywhere?
