Or even "Grab it while you can! - Please provide your EBay user ID so you can be confirmed as a non-trader of goods and you will be PM'd the bargain details."
You really have a problem with Ebayers. Not only are they scumbags but now they also have no jobs and are obviously below people who have got jobs and pay taxes! If everyone who used Ebay had no job then our economy would be in a bit of trouble.0 -

Personally I think people should only be allowed to join MSE forums after taking a means test to prove that they REALLY ARE poor and that they DESERVE the bargains more than the people who got to the shops before them.
I also think companies like Harrods, M&S, Debenhams etc. should prioritise the queues at their January sales based on the annual income of the person doing the shopping - lowest income at the front and highest income at the back.
This would be much fairer to everyone and much more in keeping with true socialist principles.
OR.... we could keep this board as "Grab it while you can" rather than "Don't grab it, leave it for someone who needs it more than you".
Then you shouldn't - you have to accept that this is a public forum and anyone can see it if they want to. If you don't want people to know what you do then you shouldn't tell them.
Ho Ho Ho !
Biglugs, very funny.
Nobody is suggesting "Socialist Principles". Nobody is suggesting poverty. Nobody is suggesting that one MSEer "deserves" a bargain more than another.
What people are suggesting is abiding by "MSE Principles". People are exchaning information to help each other locate rare, hard to find, limited, finite items. The ebay vultures are spoiling and devaluing MSE forums for everybody else. If there is no reliable, trustworthy information being exchanged, there is no point for the forums.0 -
anewman wrote:That's not the point! The point is there are people who will go into a boots store and if it has 20 Xboxes - they will buy them all to sell on ebay. Someone who wants one will generally buy only one or two. Effect of Ebayer - ebayer makes some money - person who genuinely wanted the item doesn't get it.
It's the volume that's the problem. If ebayer's only bought *1* xbox then it wouldn't be a problem. It's the fact they clear out stores.
And you know this how? Do you follow the Ebayers from their home address into the Boots store and watch them make their purchases and skip home? No you dont. You actually go into a Boots store a few hours after the deal has been posted and find that the deals are all gone. Then you decide that there defiantly could not have been 20 seperate deal hunters coming into this Boots store to snap up the deal, it must have been that local scumbag, no job loser Ebayer that lives round the corner!!
I dont think so somehow. How many stores actually stop people making multiple purchases nowadays, especially when it is on sales items? Most of them is the answer0 -

You are going on as if MSE is the only place that these deals can be found. There are hundreds of sites doing exactly the same. These Boots deals have hardly been hidden from public view and only MSE Forum users filled in. All you had to do was walk into a Boots store with an electrical department and you would see it all for yourself.0 -
Anyway i think we are going to have to agree to disagree before the mods have to remove 16 pages of Ebay arguing0

The problem with this thread, as ever, is that people are complaining that there are no bargains left for them TODAY. But this thread started over a week ago and has been updated regularly for days. If people were true bargain hunters they would keep a very close eye on the forums and REALLY grab the bargains - take a chance and go and visit these stores - instead of waiting to be told where they were then complaining that the Ebayers got there first.
It's interesting that Ebayers are lazy scumbags who have no jobs, but at the same time are spending all their day driving from store to store stripping the bargains like locustsSounds a bit like a job to me?

Xdash wrote:I don't care what people do with their goods as regard to reselling (ebay), how about staying "on topic" about boots discounts & where there available.
Hi Xdash,
Yes lets get back on topic.
The Boots items (PS2's at 49.99, Gameboy Micro's at 33.00, Nintendo DS units and so on) are no longer available in any Boots. And no longer available at the prices quoted.
However, if you want these items and don't care too much about the price, why not pop over to Ebay, and search for the above (might help to throw in "RRP", you will find them). Although the prices will be about 10% less than the high street, so not really a bargain.
Now, are you still interested in the items ?0 -

No I look on EBay and see the exact same PS2 pack on Ebay with a starting price surprisingly similar for the price they were on sale in Boots for - and a quantity on sale of 20 - then I think hmmm - where did all those come from? It's interesting they can't go about setting up a business properlyYou don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
