Well getting nits is a back-handed compliment. They're parky little !!!!!!s and won't live just anywhere. If they prefer your daughter's hair that much, then it must be really clean and nice for them. High class accomodation as it were.
Alas, if they're resistant to the usual pesticides, then the nit comb is the only answer. It breaks their legs and stops them laying eggs. Keep doing it as the existing eggs hatch, and you break their legs before they can lay any more. Eventually, the eggs run out.

What is important is being happy, healthy & loved by the people who count. SOunds like you have a lovely OH, kids and are on the right track. I'm going to give this a go..
I know exactly where you are coming from Triker. Infact if you change the overdraft to credit card bills we're a perfect match. Although I'm worse of moneywise than you. I too am Fat. My DD has had nits all through her primary. I've spend hours sitting with a great nit comb taking everything I could find out, washing her hair in trea tree oil shampoo and conditioner, checking her hair again. Washing her bedding and PJ and two days later the little Bu**ers are back again.
Going to have a go at LJD1's method plus DD has hair tied up all the time.
I find I keep myslef going by coming up with new ideas and plans. My lastest it gathering snails to fatten them up and eat them. The second is converting an old shed into a chicken coup and seeing if someone will give my a couple of hens on Free- cycle. Plus I'm starting my HM Christmas list. Making as many christmas presents as possible, sourcing exciting freebies for pressie and if all else fails finding the nest bargains available.
Keep your chin up. Talk lots to your OH and post/chat here."A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." Mark Twain0 -
Hey all, cheers again for your useful and cheering posts, especially on nittage annihilation (not sure if I've spelt that right). Yup I'm going to keep pressing on. I will do my SOA but you're going to have to bear with me whilst I try to get over my SOA avoidance tactics e.g staring into space and watching big brother. Gotta larf, have just been to the fridge to get myself a low fat beverage..........oh ok it's a can of lager, so shoot me, and guess what... the fridge has partially defrosted and there was I, all cheered by your lovely comments, when freezing cold water seeped through my socks. Brilliant. Breathe in, breathe out. Toodlepip for now and thanks again.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08
