help! help!computer knackered

hi all
im hoping someone can help me this is gonna be a long story sorry:o my computer (acer laptop aspire 7520 its got 32gb windows vista) my comp was running really slow for ages i only use it for surfing shopping pictures etc and it kept reminding me that the disk space was running low the c drive it was in the red so ive been regulary defragmenting it,
and i downloaded the ace utilitys from here and used that it only gave me a little space so decided to take it back to the factory settings thinking that this would clear it out so i cud start again but on doing this its been running really slow and the disk space on the c drive is 9.29gb of 32gb(the data d drive is empty) and it dosent have all the nessesary security updates from windows of 104 updates all its downloaded are 25 because there is no room i also have to put in my wireless and camera software etc im thinking it may hav a virus eating up all the space because the 9 gb is deminishing and ive not put anything on it yet do u know of any software that will remove this for me as well as taking out all the bumf ???? thanks for reading kx

If the drive is a partition on your hard disk, then copy some data from the C: drive to to free up space...?

If d: is an actual data partition, and not just the back-up OS partition, then move some files - mainly your "My Documents" stuff to it to free up space on the c: drive

Empty the recycle bin, and delete the old install files from windows updates

Delete your internet browser cache

Then download the free CrapCleaner to help you clear up the c: drive

Also (if you have no anti-virus installed) download a free virus scanner such as AVG, Windows Defender from Microsoft or do an online scan from the various ones available

Ive known trojans eat up space in the past. The fact you believe its a trojan is almost a certainty

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

reboot
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

hi all thanks so far ive ran malware no infection found i also done this in safe mode and done a full scan to make sure, same nothing found then ive tried to download the ad aware its taken ages about 1 1/2hrs this cant be right can it? also there is now 7.74gb left thats a lot of room for a couple of programs:eek:
as for moving files i tried to do this but dont really know how to sorry bit thick do u right click then copy but never said where its copying to?
