Thanks Kazzy - I have got that and ran it again earlier. It really speeded things up when I first used it a few months ago but lately it's just gone really really slow - like taking a minute to open up IE and freezing a lot on pages.
These guys on here are fab though aren't they!

That is the absolute minimum you need to run XP. Pushing that up to at least 1GB should make your PC a lot faster.
Go to www.crucial.com amd use the system scanner to see what your upgrade options are, it will show you what is currently installed and what you can add or replace.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    kazzy ~

    Please run COMBOFIX
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
    Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out

If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download

What happened when you ran it? It slowed at what point and what then? Did it actually run or not? is it slow NOW or not?
