Hi everyone, I'm trying again at this grocery challenge. I've just had my last paycheck from work as I'm now a SAHM. I've had lots of holiday pay I didn't use so I'd like to save it for more important things.

Please can I be put down for 200 which should be possible.:p My dates are 24th May to 28th June. I'm off to do a shop at Mr S after fatty club so hopefully I'll get lots of bargains and I do have a voucher for Mr S as well.

    Wish me luck:)

Hiya everyone - well I spent my £5 farm foods voucher, plus another £2.18. Then went to Mr T and spent £6.50. Then went to Co*op and spent £2... uh oh!!! No cash left!!! In fact, £2.16 over budget *blush*

On the other hand, got plenty of milk, F&V and make my own bread so maybe the damage won't be toooooooooo bad :D

Oh yes, I forgot to ask, can you put me down for €400 for June please? I need to get more control, and use up a lot of storecupboard items, so I hope that should be sufficient - especially if HG veggies start to crop and take some pressure off.

Right, well I had to get a few bits fri=om the co -op, thought if I go there, I won't walk out with a trolleyload that I don't need!, so I'm now at £118.73p from a budget of £160, and my month ends on 3rd June. Don't need huge amounts of stuff, and I still need to use up the contents of the freezer.

    Hi All

Updated signature by another £54.20. Due to the weather being so nice had to go and buy barbecue food and a few extra items. Good luck everyone last week to go for most of us.

    Hi all

Spent £4.24 today, mainly on milk, so now I'm over.
But I have got quite a detailed mealplan up 'til 1/6 so hopefully it won't be too bad. Why don't I plan more?!!

Only approx £30 over my year to date total for this point in thew year which considering some of the stocking up I've been doing is not bad at all. Some of this was also for snacky things for DS1 to take away with him on his school trip (long weekend, they get a continental breakfast, packed lunch and dinner, but knowing how he eats he'll need snacks).

I have all my plants now sorted and planted out, which will hopefully reduce the grocery spends later on in the summer:

tomatoes, cucumber, courgettes, butternut squash, chilli peppers, carrots, beetroot, spring onions, green beans, garlic, basil, parsley and different types of lettuce, some cut & come again some ordinary.

I have also done a couple of bags of potatoes but not sure if they have taken yet nothing showing.
    My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
    So we’re empty nesters.
    Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).

    Hi All

Declaring for May on £173.15 which is £23.15 over which isn't bad compared to last month's losing the plot.
Reason for overspend was lots of BBq stuff. - now we need a new gas bottle as we have used it all up in thelast week (did buy it last August so it has lasted!!)
Put me down for June £150 and let's see if I can keep it to the right side this time
Will update June when it is up and running.
Mortgage free as at 1/9/13 :j
To start work on the credit cards now!!

Have now spent €209.99 of my €160 budget.....that doesn't seem right. Will need milk at least before Saturday so will not post final count yet.

Not sure if I have lost the plot or have been trying to manage on a budget that has been too low since there is just OH and me, so for June I am aiming for €200.00 please Mrs MC..will be away until 9th so if I can't make it there will be trouble!

    Good luck everybody.

Hi everyone - hope all is well.

Have been too busy to come here for past few days, but have kept a note of my grocery spends - total since I last posted is £19.56 - will add to sig.

Have been cooking from fridge and cupboard - spends have been mainly fruit and veg (including organic box), and I did buy dried yeast today as running out. Do other people use Dove Farm yeast? It's £1.20 a pkt, lasts for ages and makes lovely bread. First I've had to buy for 2 or 3 months, and I make all our bread.

I use this all the time, have done for the past 10 years since I first saw Lakeland selling it.
