    Evening all folks:)
Just logged in to report Mays total at £142.76 £22.76 over budget I think I set my total too low,:( might try at same amount for June but will have a think about it for a few days first. Have already had a few spends for June but will post them when Junes pages start.
Have had a few could'nt care less days with money :eek:so have had a good talking to myself and going to do as many NSD days as I can in June. Have not gone mad with food spending, but bought a new table and chairs and seatpads and umbrella, for the garden which we really did need;) but have now decided to take money out of savings (we were left some money earlier in the year) and put it back in account. I feel we have now bought something in memory of our dear relative. :)
Hope this weather keeps up as I think everyone seems so much happier when the sun shines.:rotfl:
Got a weeks holiday next week, so trying to plan as many cheap days out as possible and going to try not to eat out if at all possible,:D going to look on recipie board for cheap picnic food etc. any ideas will be welcome!. Anyway got to do the washing up :( so bye for now and good luck for last week of challange and hugs to all who need them at the moment. xx savvyshe

    Hi all

Been a while since I've posted but updated my sig - spent £34 over the last week which means I am £4 over budget with still nearly a week to go! Blame the lovely weather and all the lovely bq food that just had to be bought......well it would be rude not to! Got relatives visiting at the weekend so will need to do another mini shop on Friday so I estimate my overspend to be about £20.

Need to be a bit more realistic with the budget for June. Used up most of my freezer stock so will struggle with £140 - so will increase to £160 I think.

Meals planned for the next few days

Tues - frozen M&S feel fuller meal ( OH on training course)
    Wed - baked cod/new pots/veg
    Thurs- salmon salad

Healthy and no need to buy anything - well that's the plan anyway

    Good luck all

WINCHELSEA - sorry to hear that OH is in hospital. Hope everything goes well for you both.

NSD’S since Thursday although we went to take some paper to the recycling bank and almost drove into the supermarket car park without thinking. Think the supermarkets control our brains without us knowing or at least they try to but some of us are fighting back in small ways..
If the weather continues our meal plan for at least one day will be changed as its chicken casserole with dumplings - far to hot and heavy for this weather. So will do home made pork burgers instead and will need mince as only got beef mince in and for burgers we prefer the pork/chicken or turkey as it’s a bit lighter.
Just taken the last of the lemon drizzle cake out of the freezer so once the malt loaf is also finished will have a baking day.
Tomorrow will be last day of my May challenge and will need the mince as above, fruit, veg and milk but have almost £150 left of budget:eek: :j:j so will most certainly be well under this month.:A Will declare exact total either tomorrow or Wednesday depending on time.

Will be reducing GC budget for June but unsure yet as to how much by as don’t want to go to low and really struggle - not sure if to go to £275 or £250 - and this month could have just been a nice fluke as we have used a fair few things out of freezers- any opinions anyone ?

    Hi Peeps,

good and not so good for me this month. On the good side we were doing really well and i was sooo pleased, on the bad side i decided to pick up a few bargains to save for next month totally forgetting that the freezer MUST be run down as we are going from a large seperate fridge and freezer down to a much smaller fridge freezer soon :(

I keep forgetting and finding deals to buy and put in and then it never gets run down properly as everything in there makes lots of meals to put back in so its a vicious circle :o

I need to seperate the spends but i`m pretty sure that we are over this month, i`ll get around to it over the next couple of days when i`ve got the rest of the receipts together.

Spiggle & Winchelsea ((((HUGS)))) thinking of you both.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

I spent £38.33 in Al*i yesterday, not too bad really, picked up some things ready for my hols and some new shorts for DH. I've got £10.85 to last until Thursday and plan to have 3 NSD's so should manage it, may possibly need milk as they didn't have any semi-skimmed in Al*i today, possible salad as well if the weather stays warm.

I think I'm doing well so far this month, must have spent about £40 from this months budget on holiday things that wouldn't normally come out of the shopping budget. Next month I want to use more of the contents of the freezer and cupboard so need to meal plan based on what I have in.

Hugs to Spiggle & Winchelsea, here's wishing your DH's are home before you know it fit and well.

I'm adding another £31.32 from Mr S yesterday and another £2 from £Land today. I'm under budget but I still will probably have to get some more fruit in the week. But I'm happy with my spends this month. Will report back in a few days with the final total and hopefully join in again next month :j It's freezer food and home-made cakes for the rest of the week :D

Hi all was too chicken to join this month but have decided to give next month a go! ...

Welcome dobs, newbies always welcome here. MrsMC will be along to add you to the front page list shortly ;)

I had a small spend today of 2.60; I've ordered sausages from the butcher for tomorrow + I need veg and milk to see me through till my mrT delivery next week, so probably another £10 spend.

Good luck for the downhill stretch of the month, everyone :)

I like the new design, its useful to click on the blue arrow in the quoted bit and be taken to the quoted post iyswim ;) was that always possible? didn't notice it before ....
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

Spiggle & Winchelsea - hugs to you both.

Well, as you can see from my totals I've gone over Budget this month, long story but hoping to compensate next month once Salad stuff starts coming through etc in the garden. Won't declare total yet as my month doesn't finish until Thursday and I may still need a few things before then.:o

Dinner tonight is a chicken and bacon casserole, will probably do jacket potatoes with it - just as well it's going to be a bit cooler today.:p

    Have a good day everyone.:D

Wow you've done well this month, that's so low!! If your'e unsure which amount to go for next month how about one inbetween the two? Like £265? I've used up all my freezer stuff this wk, have enough til the end of the month so am thinking about having a big spend on meat and things the first week and try to get enough to freeze and last the month - would be much easier if they were all veggies like me!:)
