    Good Morning everyone,:)

Had three NSD days this week, went to Mr M last night and spent £9.53 got lots of whoopsies:) they had reduced bread and pizza type bread ciabatta balls finger rolls, so should be ok for bread till next Friday when I get paid. Also got a reduced cooked chicken and chicken leg which will do tonights tea and my lunch with coleslaw jackets and salad. Have started my diet again yesterday, as I seriously need to lose a couple of stone before Christmas as my DS1 gets married then. For the first few days I can usually think of nothing else but food :(
but trying to this time to not weigh myself for a month as I get easily despondant if I don't lose any weight. hey ho! we will see might have a look on losing weight blogs later. Oh they also had some lovely braisiing steak on offer too if anyone is interested. What did I say about food on the brain.:rotfl:Anyway I think I just might be able to scrape through this month as I have reduced amount from £160 to £120 might have to put it back up for June I'll see. Off to put my washing out folks its a beautifully frosty/sunny morning here so have a good day everyone:)

Updated my total with this weeks spends, not doing too badly.

Dinner tonight will be a HM Sweet & Sour Pork, using some sliced Pork I found in the Freezer that was saved from a Roast, will serve it with Noodles as we had Rice with a HM Curry on Monday. Pudding will be a Fresh Pineapple from Aldi's Super 6 that I bought on Tuesday. Also picked up some of their Fun size apples and baking potatoes. Didn't need the Courgettes, easy peelers or fine beans that are also included in the Super 6.

Another Frost here this morning, can't wait for the weather to warm up so that I can start planting out everything from the Greenhouse into the Garden/allotment and I can start saving money and getting imaginative with recipes.;)

Spent £6.10 on Monday in Asda on milk and bits and pieces. Weekly shop done this week - spent £31.20, but still need bread....

Our nearest Asda have rolled boneless pork joints on offer at £1.97 per kilo. I don't need any, but I have a 2.1kg joint of pork sat in my freezer waiting for my friend to collect it. It only cost £4.20.

Just back from shopping and having 5 minutes with a cup of coffee. :coffee:
My expected £20 shopping came in at £26.74 - not to bad as couldn’t resist the fresh pineapple at 50p (half price) plus radishes 50p and some scampi half price again. Week 3 of 4 and only spent under half of the GC money. Am aiming to reduce it next month a little but will have to think by how much. :undecided
Tea will be quiche - I haven’t made this for ages - with salad , followed by fresh fruit and tomorrow we having crispy belly pork, roast pots or hash browns and plenty of vegetables. Oh yes and an extra person to feed on Fri as friend coming over. Hopefully NSD’s now until Saturday and am thinking that will just be paper, lottery , eggs and Staffordshire oatcakes unless I decide to make my own which may well do as they easy and will freeze cause there is always far to many for one go. Will use meat out of the freezer this week as its full so no butchers shop to do. :T
Will update signature and then off to spend an hour trying to tame the wilderness that is our garden. If I go missing for more than a few days please send a search party for me. :(

Just been to Tesco and spent £63 (actually spent £118 but not all on groceries).

Also spent £25 in Asda late last week.

So that makes my total about £128/200 which considering where we are isn't too bad.

Just got the Tesco finest meal deal for £9 which considering the wine was £8.99 (really nice one that I buy whenever on special) was good.

Also got the Finish powerball lemon 15 tablets for 96p (got five packets) which again is a great deal.

They now have the chopped tomatoes buy one get two free back on the shelves after the glitch last week and it's still a great deal as at 59p it makes them only 20p per carton.

    Off to update my signature.

    Hi all

I was hoping to last until 18/5 before I had a delivery but I've had to cave in as my freezer is almost empty.
I've done an A*da order for this evening which should be around £50 and I've also managed to spend £6 today - the money's disappearing!
Today I bought lots of fruit including reduced grapes and satsumas and some rolls to try and tempt DS to eat as he is at home feeling a bit ropey today. I don't think he eats enough generally - he's just not into food - how do you get a 15yr old to eat?

Anyway - will update sig later when A*da turn up.

ETA : They have just turned up 2hrs early. So that's another £47.65.
The only thing they didn't bring was 3 bottles of their cheap biological laundry liquid which I use when I wash dark stuff at 30 degrees. I saw some Scicillan (sp) Lemon laundry liquid in Poundland. Does anybody know if this is any good?
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

    Welcome clothhany & Joanie72.

My name is Long tall sally & I am a shopoholic, etc, etc. Umm don't feel any better for admitting it!
I had to go into town today & ended up spending nearly £20. This was on squash, veg, bin bags, crisps, bread & cobs, gluten free cereal & g/f cake mix, golden syrup & a bag of millet. I am going to attempt to make gluten free flapjacks for my son with the millet (& syrup) but knowing him he won't like them. I bought him a lovely g/f scotch egg the other day which he turned his nose up at. Looking at my list, I am thinking £20 doesn't really go far particularly when 3 of the items are g/f and are so expensive.

Freakyogre - can I ask what zorbing is? I've never heard of it1
Hi, how did the gluten free flapjacks turn out. I would love to know how you made them. I have a mother and friend who are gluten free and it would be great to treat them, I always end up giving flowers for thank yous and cheer up little gifts. Thanks
Sew it, knit it, glue it, reuse it , don't buy it
