Meant to say BMF, that I have a half packet of sausagemeat in the freezer so I plan to mix it with some packet stuffing and turn it into sausage rolls; now I've not tried this before so fingers crossed! I might add a little apple sauce to it as well. :)

I've done that rosieben and they turned out lovely - have since made them twice as it is one of the few meals that OH and I both like :rotfl:

Off to Greece tomorrow for 2 weeks in the sun so good luck to all ;)

£19.32 spent today on nappies (2 x big packs from Boots = £16 - £5 off £15 spend = £11 plus a £5 No 7 voucher... happy days :D) and other bits and pieces (inc. 4 x whoopsied cherry toms at 29p a pack :)). Nappies will last at least a month and a half so I'm happy and only £87.88 spent from £200 budget.. yay!!

Hope everyone else is on track :)

  • Good evening everyone,

still on track re spending this month although I must confess I met a friend today and ended up going out for lunch with her, totally unplanned, so that was five pounds I didn't need to spend. However we did have a lovely lunch and an even nicer catch up.

    Good luck to everyone.

£1.22 spent today on milk and a newspaper. Also I think £1.56 on body spray that was on offer - i've lost the receipt from Sunday.

I went away at the weekend (zorbing with my sister, great fun) so although I did spend some money on lunch etc. I won't count that.

I shouldn't need anything else this week, but will need fruit next week. I'm very tempted to go to Asda as just spotted they have some veg on offer, but it's 20 minutes away. Hmm.

Evening everyone. Massively overspent with the budget, so much so , I am tempted to throw the towel in this year, as there is just no way realistically that I'm going to come in anywhere near my budget. But after serious thought , I have decided, if I give up now I'm likely to go even more haywire, so I'll stick with it, but increase the budget later in the year when I run out:) Seems like a bit of a cheat but better I suppose than giving up completely. Anyway the veggies are growing away nicely in the garden so that should help. Hope eveyrone else is doing ok.

  • Hi everyone,

signature updated, spent £6.15 at Mr T yesterday on some veg and milk.

Was getting a bit worried as seemed to spend an awful lot in the first week or so but its more steady now. Bank balance was looking scarily unhealthy but just had an unexpected but welcome random WTC payment, i am baffled by how they do things but not complaining, not a lot but 'every little helps'! So now at least i have enough money to actually get our groceries!

Im finding that doing my shop once a week is definately helping, working to a monthly budget and monthly meal plan was too difficult, so while my GC is still monthly, im thinking and shopping weekly and am actually just buying what we need for meals for the week, and sending dh for those dreaded milk top ups, as he sticks to the list!

So not a bad month so far, but will see what next two weeks brings!

    night xx
