Hi Gien are you in Switzerland?

I am on my third NSD of the month! yay for me! I am running down the stores as much as poss as my car broke down at the weekend after costing over £100 to get repaired, and OH had to hire a car for the week. We have been having some delicious interesting dinners, and will be doing lots of curries, chillies etc. over the next few days. X

3rd NSD and very proud of myself for staying away from MrW where I get staff discount while DD13 had her flute lesson. It's become a habit for me to run in there for "milk" and end up spending around £10 on odds and ends. So today I didn't take my purse! :T

Tonight's tea was a pasta dish with courgettes, bacon and creme fraiche. Quick, cheap and easy.
Tomorrow will be a new recipe I found in a slow cooker book. It basically involves pork chops and condensed soup with some potatoes in it so I will be switching it on at 8am and leaving on low all day. I will report back to let you know if it's a success or not.

No need to visit the shops tomorrow so should be another NSD here.

    Good luck everyone

Please could you put us down for £400 for May? I'm afraid I completely lost track in April, so I'm going to take it gently for May, and try to take control again!!

    Morning all

Spent £6.77 yesterday including milk, bread and a 70p bag of pears from T*sco which went down well...couldn't find any cheapish apples though, they were nearly £2 a bag in the C*op so I left them there!

So I'm 36% through the budget and have £9.75 a day left - so far so good!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

    Morning all!

Have successfully stayed away from the shops since Sunday :D DH bought a cup of tea the other day at the station when his train was cancelled and he was stuck there for over an hour, but I think I'll let him off ;) - I'll include it though.

Need to get some bread today - have got through more than expected this week. ONly DD is at school today - I have 3 boys at home. I have a £4 off £40 spend at Mr S and also need to go there to return some clothes - but I don't need £40 of food. I might have a look on the website and look for offers for storecupboard stuff, make a list for £40 of stuff - and stick to it!!D

Miserable weather - had planned a day planting in the garden with the boys. Looks like baking with them instead :)

  • Expensive day for me yesterday. Spent £4.50 in Costa which was really nice:D Sent DH to MrT for a bag of oven chips and he spent £14.96:eek:
I then did an online Ocado shop, wow they are expensive. I spent almost £90 but I had a voucher for £30 off so it was £59.59.

    Trying for a NSD today.
