Brown sticks his foot in his mouth

He's in apparently - and he's left security outside.
Hopefully she's giving him a pasting.0 -

Bigoted woman to Brown: ""You can't say anything about the immigrants because you're saying that you're … but all these eastern European what are coming in, where are they flocking from?"
Yes I know it's popular to blame 'those eastern Europeans' when economic times are bad.
Brown should have been more careful, but she's a bigot alright.
Perhaps, but if you don't say it to the persons face and give them a hug then blame you staff for the person asking the questions you could be two faced and a bully.
Her view may be bigoted but it is her concern so her views being bigoted are not the issue.
It is the contempt for the voter for asking questions that is the real issue.
I would have more respect for the guy if he said it to her face but no he wishes her family well and then slags her off.
But on another note is she a bigota person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.
More likely xenophobic IMHO, but so are most people of her age.0 -

He's still in her house - been about 10 minutes now. Wonder if security are getting twitchy!0

i'm ...braodly..pro europe. I have concerns about trial with out jury, and european police/justice and other i believe surmountable concerns.
I am in favour, and as I am very open about, we have used, the right to travel within europe for work.
But there is no question that large groups of Brits have impacted severely on tracts of other parts of europe _ i understand it is possible to get an ''All day breakfast'' othroughout the Algarve- this has pluses and minus for local economies. as it does here.
I am half ''johnny foreigner'' married to another half ''Johnny Foreigner'' and open to europe, yet still feel that there are valid concerns. My concerns are probably different to that woman's, but both our concerns, IMO, should be fair to air, and concerns about big social changes are often, but not always, bigoted.0 -

But the press will not let this one drop. Whoever chose to broadcast his private words should hang her (or his) head in shame - and be sacked.
We have a free press. A shame on you (and the people who thanked you) for even considering blaming the people who reported what he said.:mad:In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0
