Brown sticks his foot in his mouth

these are the very reasons that Labour will not win the General Election.
it's not because that their policies are better or worse than the tories but because Brown doesn't have the public image needed to be PM. he's a bit of a peice IMO.
it's quite sad that we as a country are being swayed who to put into power for the next 5 years because of comments made to a colleague or because of acting performance on TV debates.
Yep.
The country was supposedly fed up with spin from Blair and his cohorts... then as soon as he was replaced with someone lacking that finesse, the poll ratings plummeted, regardless of Gordon's successful economic management through a severe global crisis.
We'll get the government we deserve.
(FWIW, this little incident made me like Gordon more.)0 -
Some will say that we all say such things in private. The worrying thing here is that we say what we actually believe in private. Gordon has clearly reverted to being Stalin, although he still manages a Mr. Bean smile and demenour. This man is supposed to be the Labour party leader, sticking up for the down trodden. Seems he has some pretty big boots himself and is walking all over all of us.0

Every !!!!-up will be scrutinised to make up for the fact that the Conservatives have very few alternative policies.
This was nthing to do with Tories. It was his voter, his foot, his mouth.0 -
It's stuff and nonsense. Major said a lot worse about his own cabinet."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -

sometimes you don't say what you mean in private. sometimes you just vent and use the last target. I'm not trying to make excuses for a leader I hope we vote out, but i'm also not going to point and sneer and pretend I'm better when I'm not.
e.g. who after a row with a parent or spouse or child hasn't thought something like''silly old duffer/spoiled brat'' even when in truth that's anger not how you really feel?0 -
He did phone the woman up personally and apologised by the way. He was still foolish though.0

typical labour nonsense.
VOTE CONSERVATIVE.
p.s. I have a sneaking suspicion that the woman in question is in fact White Horse's mum. LOL0 -

I would say it is worse saying it to potential voters IMHO.
I would get away with calling a member of staff an idiot, not a customer.0 -

and now is implying he stands by it...''she was talking about Eastern Europeans''....my guess is it was more the tax/debt that angered him...0
