Not sure where you stand legally and Ive never done this but it's the way my mind works.
Legally it means the policy is invalid as an insurance contract is one of "utmost good faith" i.e. you have to be honest.
If you are not going to claim on it though it doesn't matter - nobody would ever know.
The safer "craftier" method would be (a) not to claim and thereby receive discounted premiums should you wish to continue the policy; and/or (b) go to the gym twice a week on average and have your premiums discounted further (after health checks) (as part of their promoting a healthy lifestyle approach).[STRIKE]Something witty[/STRIKE]0 -
Has anyone managed to do this via Quidco. It still refuses to show up for me. I have cleared cookies etc.
And clicked on the rewards we offer link on the left but all I get is boots vouchers.
Any ideas? If freedom is outlawed, only outlaws will have freedom.0 -
I did this through Quidco this morning and when i clicked through to Pruhealth the gym memebership offer came up on the front page.
Perhaps worth logging out of quidco altogether, then logging back in, going through the link and see if that works as maybe it's sending you through an old link.
Danrees - I only joined Quidco this morning and mine isn't showing up in tracked transactions yet either. Hope it does go through!
Still a great offer though. Was just about to join my local Cannons at £56 per month = £672 per year. This insurance policy plus gym membership for a year = £385 after the quidco cashback - a massive saving of £287!!
Thank you me4bargains!!0 -
The 6 months gym offer link is showing up for me on the 'Value of health insurance' page.0

When you go through Quidco, click on the bottom riught of the Pru home page "save with our health partners"

Ive just got a quote from Pru - me 43 yrs old male non smoker choosing £1000 yes one thousand pounds excess, any hospitals nationally and the monthly premium is £29 making the monthly outlay £54 inc the £25 health membership. Yes I get £115 Quidco but this wouldnt be worth my while.
have I missed anything to get the Pru quote down?0 -

Not necessarily - but don't forget that you won't be paying the £25 for the gym for the first 6 months, thereby saving £150.[STRIKE]Something witty[/STRIKE]0 -
How long does it take for the quidco transaction to show? Thanks.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

My quote was £25, didn't think to put any hospitals (not london). and also, i am covered with bupa at work anyway.
so £25*12= 300 for policy + 25*6 for last 6 months gym = 150. so £450 less £115 quidco = 335 or £28 a month gym membership versus current £57.
now, just need to know if its off peak only, which would be pointless.0
