Standing round shouting "woe, thrice woe" never helped anyone!
I hardly visit that place any more, I did for a while at first, but all the threads got moved. Discussion is frowned upon.
I cant offer help without being honest, and Im not going to lie and not warn others what may happen, what has happened etc in circumstances where it would be useful to them to know.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -

Im not sure if its a case of bullies in that instance, it could just be a sudden desire to strictly interpret the rules when it suits.
Its certainly true, usefull information is restricted in that forum.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

Okay . I'm probably going to get shot down in flames for this but whats happened to DT recently ? It used to be interesting ,with a variety of subjects and opinoins . Now it's just seems to one benefit thread after another.
My question is, would it be an idea to have a seperate benefit discussion area leaving DT for other subjects ? I for one would appreciate it .
What are your thoughts please good idea or not ?
I'll get my coat
Even though I do post on the benefits threads it's usually pretty much because there is nothing else to post on. I even started a new thread myself earlier this evening on on a subject I probably would never have thought to do "discuss" here just because it would make a nice change.
Yeah I'm really hanging on here by the skin of my teeth because there are some posters I would hate to lose touch with0 -
There could be a benefit discussion sub-board in the benefit section. HOWEVER - certain DT regulars would STILL post benefit whinges in here. Wanna bet?Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

Is it because of the election? People want to get the policy issues that concern them discussed at this time in particular. At one time around the Copenhagen conference we had a multitude of climate change threads, disappeared now. I think these threads will go too.0

how about a politics/policies sub-forum to either DT or the arms0 -
I fear they will continue as long as the government keeps spoonfeeding the media propaganda, and until the media stops propagating that propaganda to the public.
Once the public is conditioned to think the way the government wants, perhaps the articles in the press, and the TV shows will stop. Then the threads will die down.
But that could take years, as there is still a long way to go, and a lot more public hatred to stir up before more controversial reforms can be made to the system...[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
