CD WOW Returns Address Now In Cyprus

Hi, I don't know if any of you are aware, but CDwow have just stopped returns in the UK, and any faulty items must be posted to Cyprus. The only compensation is an e-voucher to cover the postage.
I am not happy having to post it to Cyprus and was wondering if anyone knew a way around this?

Take it to Cyprus yourself?!
:rotfl:The word is BOUGHT, not BROUGHT.
It's LOSE, NOT LOOSE.
You ask for ADVICE not ADVISE.0 -
I didn't know they were doing that. I've been shopping with them for ages and I have only had to send one order back in all that time so I dont see a problem really. I think their CS is excellent (unlike many others) and hope they continue to offer great prices. This won't put me off shopping with them.0

Don't shop there?
Sorry to be facetious. For future reference go for somewhere British- try Play.com (usualy very good prices and FREE delivery), or tesco.com
Therefore you have the security of dealing with UK companies, and support UK jobs
cheers0 -

At least cdwow's HQ and call centre is in the UK - High Wycombe
Don't think either source their product in the UK
So you either want cheap
or UK
or neither
or some parts in the UK.
At present CD wow are part UK
and Play.com are not
Sorry to be even more facetious0 -
Sorry but cd-wow's call centre is now in India. Had to call them the other day about a problem cd. Still not received replacement.0

perhap it was an Indian in the UK?0

doesnt cdwow HQ have to be registered outside the UK because of the tax break they have?0

the 1st thing i got from them is faulty, charlottes web dvd. only just tried it as was birthday pressie for son. they said they will replace if i return but they not replied to my email about whether postage will be refunded. does anyone know cost of returning to cyprus? by evoucher do u mean i have to buy something else & the postage cost will be taken as a discount from that? bit cheeky if so!! i got the dvd with the voucher from the star so if ds1 wasnt so upset i would just bin it & forget about it!!Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!0

Yeah, you will have to buy something else with the e-voucher or else you completely loose out on the postage. I don't know about costs yet, as I'm trying hard to get around it.
I was wondering whether anyone knew if CDwow are subject to UK trading standards when supplying to the UK? If their HQ is still in England (the phone number on the site would suggest so), then surely they do. This would require them to arrange for collection of any faulty goods.
What do you think?0 -
It is very expensive to post out to Cyprus, surely this can't be right?0
