I was overcharged at my local Tesco Express by 2 quid on a bottle of wine a few weeks ago. Being aware of the refund and replace policy I went straight back in to get my 'free' wine  . After a long wait and a bit of a barney the manager agreed to honour the Rn R b and added that I had picked up the wrong bottle ( the price was wrong on the shelf) and not to do it again!!!!!
Funny thing was - I told him the bottles were going to go to my childrens school fete (which one was!!) and guess who I saw mooching around at the fete (with his daughter) - yep you've guessed it - the manager!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

McDonag - there are threads dedicated to the sage words of more experienced points collectors than me - I am a mere beginner!!0

thanksJoto wrote:As far as I'm aware Tesco and all other retailers have to sell by the kg, the pound is for information only and for those of us who still get confused with metric.
So if the difference is per kg I would say yes, although I'm not sure if I would be confident enough to argue about a 1p difference.
It is correct that retailers have to sell by the kilogram, and any price per pound is only a guidance.
However, depending on the price difference and weight of the product, even if the kilogram prices are 1p different soemtimes, once the weight/cost has been rounded it may come to the same price anyway (you can only round to the nearest penny). In that case you won't get an R+R.0 -

pengham is out towards the docks way
simply comme off the motorway on the newport road side
go up over the fly-over
then follow the road along the coast, if you're heading towards the bay
it's on the right, it's quite bigmoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

Ahh, i was there the other day, looks like the sort of mayhem where there is many R nRs. Do you know if they removed the price tag? Was it an expired yellow SEL?0 -

anyone know how long it takes Tesco to answer an email? i emailed them last Wednesday to tell them i wasnt happy at the price checker scanners not working and that certain members of staff are not falling over themselves to find out the price of products where there's no labelling and also the fact that every single SEL on the meat aisle has been removed.
Thought i would have heard from them by now0 -
Do you live in Cardiff too ben500? Is that a Metro on AlbanyRoad. I live on Whitchurch Road...and there used to be one on Maindy Road and its still there according to the Tesco website. I might write an email complaining that I spent ages trying to find it....0
