Tesco Misprices Discussion area part 7

I'm a fairly new R&R'er, and over the last 2 weeks have managed to R&R almost £40 worth of chicken & steak from Tesco. I was worried about CS staff being bolshy (from the experiences posted here) so I tried a slightly different method. After checking the prices on SEL & pack, & that the bar codes tallied, I paid for the items. I loaded the car, then went back in with the bag of items. Went back to the shelf and checked the items again (for show), then approached an assistant. They confirmed the overcharge, after checking codes & took me, and the SEL to CS & explained. Instant R&R with no grief from CS. (Sorry, didn't post the items as they always remove the SEL) Hope this helps the nervous potential R&R'ers out there0

rdwarr wrote:I would. It would be a brilliant way to spend £5! Just imagine the looks on the CS faces as you INSIST that you pay the "correct" price for the goods.
"Do I look like the sort of person who wears a £5 top?" etc....
I think different tescos have different prices on their goods anyway.
E.G.: Motorola Red L6 is £89 something in my local but over £100 in others.
So I don't think your goods were an underprice as such.

You really do think you are a cut above everybody else me thinks, why do you delight in putting people down, is it because you were bullied as a child and now you are a big boy or is the fact that you can do it anonymously.0 -
I would have to agree with the above.
Getting personal about check out operators is out of order.Watch out, you never know who is about.0 -
I totally disagree, whilst we remain anonymous on this forum, I have always found Ben500 very informative and helpful. He calls a spade a spade, and if some people don't like that, then thats their problem. And yes, more often then not we do come across dozy staff not just in Tesco but nation wide.0

*Feeling a bit scared.* Please be nice, people. *Retreats to warm, fluffy place.*
I bought a couple of energy-saving tesco value light bulbs yesterday. Marked as £1.67 each on shelf, came up as £2.97 at checkout. Refunded at CS, no probs. It's good to be green.;)0 -
Im sure that ben500 has been informative and calling a spade a spade can be a good thing, but his post sujests that checkout operators have an extremelly limited inteligence. This is not on.
Send the barrage of abuse my way for defending a group of people whom i see as a valuable part of the shopping experience. I simply dont care.
People should not have the pi** taken out of them for the jobs they do. There is most certainly a hint of self superiority in Ben500.Watch out, you never know who is about.0 -
Maindy Road! YES! Thats the one I was looking for. What happened to it then?
IS there still 2 extra stores in Cardiff? I've been to the big one which looks like it has been extended and there is a Mcdonalds and Wicks next door.
Reguarding the camera at Culverhouse cross. YES it was an expired yellow SEL and they did remove the SEL unfortunatelt. I tried to buy two but they only had the one in stock.
WHat do you mean about R+R mayhem in this store?0 -
Checkout operator noticed one of my SUdoku games at lower price. Redsuced it at till with ait of team leader. However I went to CS for a refund as I didnt want it and she refunded me £19.99
