Something really has to be done about this venue.....makes you wonder how many other people have they ripped off that no one knows about.

Hi everybody, I've kept very quiet for a long time now because the owner of the venue called in the services of a solicitor. However, I'm thrilled to say that it finally came to court just before Christmas and WE WON. I've just got the money back now. The judge agreed that he'd done nothing to resell the date and awarded in our favour. Take heed, never be talked into signing over any large amount of money on the day no matter what assurances you are given especially if you are at the venue in question. DD had a lovely wedding, food was great, organisation impeccable, no having to pay for things she didn't want, at a fraction of the cost, in Dover Town Hall. If anyone's still reading this thread, thanks for all your help and interest.0

:TWell done you...glad that you stuck it to them!! :T I hope they got decent sanctions against them so they can't do this to anyone else. Do they still have a licence? If they do somebody should take it away from them0

The venue has messed up with their own fake reviews on Trip Advisor. Two brides had amazing weddings there... Both on 16th September 2010. :rotfl:0

Well done on getting the money back, however it's a battle you shouldn't have had to fight if the horrible man had treated you all properly in the first place, I notice that since then there has been a thread on here where they had double booked a wedding date.:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea
