    Hello Poet

Find me a sentence where I have accused you personally of being a bully.

    Hmmm. Hard, isn't it?

There have been instances of bullying on this thread in its entirety, though.

    .

Yes but they have been from supporters of Penelope........

There has been lots of name calling from Penelope's supporters, mainly thinly veiled references (or not even veiled) to me, some to Poet.

I'm amazed this thread hasn't been shut down with its allegations of bullying;)

    Hi Pen Pen

I followed the link that someone put on to read what had been happening, spent the last few hours doing it but obviously the offending posts have been deleted.

I am so sorry you feel you have to leave, I only "know" you from flyladies, to dedicate your own time to be a board guide is a selfless act and you should rise above the comments if you decide to come back which I hope you will, for now enjoy your family and hope you come back soon, take care for now xx:A

There was NO offending thread. I used the term "little Hitler" to describe an action NOT (as I have explained a million times a person).
There is a difference between using a anecdote to depict an example. Like saying I've been a pig, meaning I've eaten a lot, rather than I actually was a pig.

However I think everyone who has called me names & sla66ed me off on this thread is well aware of that;)
    But it suits the agenda;)

ETA I used the term witch hunt on here & was accused of calling someone a witch:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyone with a brain knows my using the term witch hunt in this context is implying that I am the witch.

But like all these three threads, it suited the thread better to accuse me of something;)

LOL, I really can't believe that some of you are still going at this :rotfl: Seriously, you are so funny!

Could I suggest that everything bar the first couple of pages is stripped out of this thread and it's then moved somewhere out of OS to one of the discussion sections?

Sorry MrsE but maybe you missed the post of mine where I said that I had typed "witch" in error? It's a couple of pages back. I can assure you I have more than half a brain and am not in the habit of using it to twist things to better suit a thread. It was an error. I left out the word "hunter" I do think you know that though as my previous post was fairly simple to understand so I'm unsure as to the point of your post really.
Anyway, I left out a word. I apologise. Again.

....and still thinking about my promised rhubarb:

All this innuendo (OS - never! - well ...frequently....) and I'm now wondering whether to work out a "Fruity Threesome" pudding recipe.:rotfl:

    Thinks.....
    - layer of oranges
    - layer of rhubarb
    - layer of oranges

and then put some sort of "charlotte" topping on top.

So - I think I might try poaching the rhubarb (with some honey, cinnamon and ginger in with it) and then doing those fruit layers in a dish. I could then saute up some breadcrumbs in a bit of butter and throw in a bit of sunflower seeds and sesame seeds (ground in their case - as I think they "head straight through" otherwise?) and bake for a bit in the oven.

Does that sound like it would work?

I am horrified to hear that someone thinks of you as a nasty person:eek::mad:
It is even worse when you have been having things so rough lately.
I can honestly say that you are a smasher on the daily thread and I for one have missed your posts.

    Hello Poet

Find me a sentence where I have accused you personally of being a bully.

    Hmmm. Hard, isn't it?

There have been instances of bullying on this thread in its entirety, though.

To be honest, and without being disrespectul to the regulars, who I hope will forgive me, this is more a forum about 'should I use wholemeal self-raising flour or ordinary?' And, for the record, I do not mean to belittle anyone's interests here, as, stated previously, I am not a confrontational person, but I feel duty-bound to stand up to bullying, in any way, shape or form, even when I have no involvement or allegiance to the people involved.

Frankly, I couldn't be less bothered if you barred me from this thread or called me what for. I've been a teenager. At a hard-knock school.

But I will still sleep easy that I'm teaching my little girl to be kind, considerate and accepting of differences of opinion in other people.

And I will still be flagrant in saying: "PP, you rock!"

Now, if you persist in carrying on, I'm more than happy in responding in between the really important things in life, like my daughter's music, swimming and gym lessons, the stay and play groups and the toddler naps. I don't get that much time, but I can always find 5 minutes in a busy stay-at-home-mummy's weekday schedule to respond to personal abuse and criticism, or to demonstrate to my little girl that bullying behaviour should always be tackled head-on in a constructive way.

Jillynoz, I obviously completely mistead your post, I was so used to being "got at" and yes, bullied by some of the other long standing OS members that when you posted I was clearly too close to the issue and assumed ( wrongly it seems) that your post referred to me.

    I apologise.

You are correct in your summation that bullying is present on this thread, and correct in your assessment that it should be tackled, and be seen to be tackled. Tbh it concerns me little personally,as I am well able to deal with it, however my PM box is full of messages from others who cannot, and so have stopped posting on OS. They have expressed feelings of brave the vitriol or being regarded as an"outsider" and had their views disparaged because they weren't part of the in crowd. That cannot be correct or acceptable.

Simply because the majority are indulging in a certain pattern of behaviour or mode of comment does not make them accurate, or correct, this is the case here. Which is why I am still here posting, I refuse to be browbeaten by those without the wherewithall to expreass their views in any other civil manner.

Like you, I dont have much time, my posts are made between teaching in a College, marking coursework, being a mother to 4, and a wife, as you say, the important things in life.

That said, integrity and fairness are important to me too, and that is why you find me here defending that which needed no defence, against those who have an agenda other than the one which is immediately obvious.

Again, I apologise for misunderstanding your post.

You mean like when I used the term "little hitler behaviour" I wasn't really calling someone Hitler?

PS I never mentioned "half" a brain, funny how you read what you expect to see isn't it;)
