Of course he means flies, camels are not lawyers!
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

    Ah! Good old Google.

Stephen was quoting an old Arab proverb "May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your ...." well, he said backside, but apparently it can equally be applied to armpit or crotch. :D:D:D Take your pick!!

What a varied bunch we are on here!! Anyone for a meet?:eek::eek:

Whilst waiting for Jillinoz to elaborate I will say this. If you detest bullying, it is true, you have seen it here, but not from me, but from those who seek to impose their view on others regardless of the truth of the matter, from those those seek to name call, belittle and generally make unfounded allegation to back up their friends who are in the OS clique.

It got nasty, but not from my side, find me a post where I have actually been as nasty as you have yourself in your last post.

That is not my style and even those I have debated with/disagreed vehemently with, would probably agree that is true.

So, if you cannot back up your assertions of nastiness, do not jump on the bandwagon, because you are colluding with the very people you claim to despise.

I will not go down the route of being rude, abusive or nasty despite saying that I might, why would I sink to that level? I am secure in the knowledge that I did not say anything to lead to the OP making her post, there are other issues at play here, and those who are not privy to them would do well to reserve judgement lest they appear foolish.

I have no doubt whatsoever that PP will return, and when she does, I will link to this post to prove my point.

    Hello Poet

Find me a sentence where I have accused you personally of being a bully.

    Hmmm. Hard, isn't it?

There have been instances of bullying on this thread in its entirety, though.

To be honest, and without being disrespectul to the regulars, who I hope will forgive me, this is more a forum about 'should I use wholemeal self-raising flour or ordinary?' And, for the record, I do not mean to belittle anyone's interests here, as, stated previously, I am not a confrontational person, but I feel duty-bound to stand up to bullying, in any way, shape or form, even when I have no involvement or allegiance to the people involved.

Frankly, I couldn't be less bothered if you barred me from this thread or called me what for. I've been a teenager. At a hard-knock school.

But I will still sleep easy that I'm teaching my little girl to be kind, considerate and accepting of differences of opinion in other people.

And I will still be flagrant in saying: "PP, you rock!"

Now, if you persist in carrying on, I'm more than happy in responding in between the really important things in life, like my daughter's music, swimming and gym lessons, the stay and play groups and the toddler naps. I don't get that much time, but I can always find 5 minutes in a busy stay-at-home-mummy's weekday schedule to respond to personal abuse and criticism, or to demonstrate to my little girl that bullying behaviour should always be tackled head-on in a constructive way.

    Hi Pen Pen

I followed the link that someone put on to read what had been happening, spent the last few hours doing it but obviously the offending posts have been deleted.

I am so sorry you feel you have to leave, I only "know" you from flyladies, to dedicate your own time to be a board guide is a selfless act and you should rise above the comments if you decide to come back which I hope you will, for now enjoy your family and hope you come back soon, take care for now xx:A
