    What's all that about?
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

I am not playing anymore someone else has gone for the jugular and it is getting tedious and predictable. I am not often rude, but I can feel it coming on, so I will probably need to apologise in advance for what follows. We had moved forward, but it seems there will always be one to drag it back to the point, so go ahead, but the gloves will come off.

Now who will comment on how this is being dragged out again?

    Hello Poet

    Just to clarify:

Going for the jugular is not my style, I'm more a lurker, who is guilty of soaking up the goodness on MSE, and usually too shy or under-confident to post or to contribute to threads. You will note from my thread count and my history that I'm a long-time user of MSE, but not a regular contributor: although I'm conscious of taking too much, so, where possible, and, confidence permitting, I do try to give back as much as possible, in terms of posting links to good offers etc,

I normally hate confrontation of any kind: but I loathe and detest what I consider to be bullying even more. I have no allegiance to PenelopePenguin, other than she 'seems' a nice human being who, from my months of browsing, has appeared to contribute a huge amount to the OS forum.

I will admit that I have not read the supposedly controversial thread, but short of it recommending that all new borns should be hanged, drawn and quartered, then I cannot for one minute imagine that it has warranted the level of nastiness that has taken my breath away on this thread.

Whether they are real to us or not, people we deal with on the internet have feelings too and those feelings should be respected. As a curious observer, with nothing to gain either way, and no axe to grind, I stand by my comments about the bullying: would you really say these things to your loved ones, your neighbours, your colleagues or the other mummies at the school gates?

    Big hug, PP.

And as for the posters, may the files of a thousand camels infest their backsides!

This has been puzzling me. Does he mean flies?

What things are you referring to ?
