OUCH - that's what I shouted when I fell off the Flylady wagon!

My house is a TIP, can't hardly walk around the bed in our room, kitchen is not bad but oven is minging and the rest of the house is, um, well not so good really :o. My excuse is I've been setting myself up doing mystery shopping, so been really busy doing applications etc.

I have some great news though as lowered my anti ds to the lowest dose I've ever been on in 6 years :j:j

    Can I come back please?

SEE.. WHEN YOU FALL OFF I send the messy fairies to make a mess so you have to come back

Do you know Pigpen, I thought you were something to do with the cake going missing, but didn't want to blame you when I'm crawling back to you! Those messy fairies you sent sure did a good job too!

toots - Thanks, I may have to resort to e-bay, but I usually try the local free ads first, so things can be collected. It saves messing around. As for the baking, thanks to the flyladies I still have two recipes for different apple cakes waiting to be trialled.

I've not really moved much - had some noodles, read the thread for a bit and had a short nap. I've just started tea, as DH is due in around 7pm, so I'll start in the kitchen while it's cooking. The cake(s) will be for supper, I think.

Toots, what's going on with hail in your garden? It's May tomorrow for goodness sakes! I have some news for you that you may like - I'm going to become a Church member next time they do it and the scarey thing is I'm going to stand up in front of the whole church and say my testimony ! I know you were confirmed recently so thought you'd like to know this.

Need to declutter the kids to bed, tidy up after them, wash up and do some ironing and am determined to get an early night tonight.

    Evening all

Those of you vacationing away this weekend - I hope you have a lovely time and fair weather.

Soappie don't give up yet, you don't know for sure you're out of the game..
soappie as the others have said -no news could be good news - will keep everything crossed that its still going to be your job
eta soappie hopefully greenbee is right and no news is good news

Thank you all. The phone call came in the end and it was a mix of good and bad news. Bad news is I didn't get the job. Good news is that I was second (probably why the phone call was late - they needed to know they secured their preferred candidate first before giving me the finger).

Feedback was good. Apparently my application form was strong as was my interview but the winning lady had more direct experience. They said they would welcome any application from me in the future. So that's good news I suppose at least I didn't flunk completely.

It has given me the confidence to go for a different job that's being advertised. I NEED to get back into full time employment soon for financial reasons.

Got lots of washing done today as the weather didn't quite turn out as the Met Office predicted (which was rain) so it's all line dried.

NN came over for gin and gossip and planning this evening. This time next week we'll be in our holiday cottage in Devon. Lists have been done, times planned and we're full steam ahead.

Sorry I'm aware this sounds very much like a me me me post. I promise normal service will be resumed once I come back from my much needed holiday

  • CBA today. The kitchen is still clean, the shower just needs a wipeover after I have one tonight, the living room is a tip and I just have to remake my bed.

The previously recommended bedlinen is lovely. I'm looking forward to putting it back on again. Was it Greenbee who suggested it or someone else? It was a revelation and I am now a posh bedsheets person!

After tons of nuisance calls to the door today, the last one nearly got ignored. It turned out to be a delivery - one good quality black linen kaftan-style top, fully lined and a lined draping shortsleeved top. DD rates the first as an 8/10 and the second as a 9/10, especially if I buy some gold bangles and earrings to go with them.

And the second box was two bottles of almond scented shower oil! My skin has been screaming for something like this - and I love the smell of almonds.

It may remind people of the inside of a Christmas cake tin, but I am looking forward to tonight!

Im shattered tonight. Went to GS1s new house then went to see mum. Have been at them about the bruising again but her legs are looking better. I took mum in her wheelchair all the way back to GS1s house then to DDs where she sat in the garden and had a cuppa and a smoke. Took her back then walked home. Ive done two loads of washing and put dry towels away.

Toots No Im not watching the GGDs they are at their grandmas.
