Have a lovely bank hol weekend everyone. See you next week :wave:I need direction to perfection...0 -
My house is a TIP, can't hardly walk around the bed in our room, kitchen is not bad but oven is minging and the rest of the house is, um, well not so good really
. My excuse is I've been setting myself up doing mystery shopping, so been really busy doing applications etc.
That sounds just like me - only for bed/bedroom substitute table/dining room, and the kitchen isn't good, apart from the oven. I haven't even got an excuse, other than work.
The weekend didn't get off to a great start here. After an ok day it's been drizzling ever since I left work and the clutch on our car gave up the ghost outside the garage, just as the mechanic came back from a spin to check if it was ok. That's a 'no', then, I guess. If we are lucky, it's 'just' the clutch that needs doing , but they won't know until Tuesday at the earliest and I can see us not getting it back until next weekend. Could have picked a better month for it, as both DSs birthdays are in May. May need to rob a bank...
Another cuppa and a snack, and maybe a short nap, then I may as well fly - can't go out to get bags of compost and it's miserable outside.
Sorry for being grumpy. Should be fine after a coffee and a nap. x
ETA Thanks, greenbee, have just realised what will cheer me up - baking!!! Once I've cleared some space in the kitchen.0 -

When are you bringing mine round? I've got another couple of hours of work to do, so need some sustenance
Me to, and Mrs Chaos has to drive past my house to get to you......
Work again todayso nothing much done yet. The house really is suffering, mostly because I won't let the boys suffer for the change and ignore them to do it. I have spent most of this evening trying to sort out a very full ipod for DS1
I still haven't hoovered. I read Foxbusters to the boys instead last night, ate takeaway and went to bed with a Georgette Heyer. I still have a mild headache from hitting my head on the beam on Sunday!
I have, on the positive side, roasted a chicken for dinner tonight and put the veg box away.
serena :jfor the rain, we have some too so I only had to water the greenhouse - from the now nearly full waterbutt.
I hope everyone is well, hugs for the poorlies and hello to the newbies/returners.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Well i managed to get my washing sorted and done just one more load for the dryer. The kids bags are packed ready to go to their dads tomorrow. I didnt unfortuately have time to vacume but that can be done tomorrow when the kids arent here the place stands a chance of staying clean then at least for a day or two :-)
Have a good weekend everyone :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
