OK - almost human again :T

I went up to Liverpool on Wednesday to do a fairly simple job and was absolutely knocked sideways by it...spent most of Thursday asleep as a result. Boss is being marvellous (having suffered something very similar himself recently he understands!). I am officially working from home today and have done quite a lot of work both last night and this morning.

So - time for what's left of my lists : (I'm giving myself cheerleaders, hope no-one minds!). I'm determined to get the rest of this done - got a special guest for dinner on Sunday.

    Morning (just!)

Got a lie-in this morning, but now got about a hundred gazillion things to do - making birthday cake is top of list.

With A&E - my parents only had to take me and my brother twice - I was 4 and our dog bit my face, then when he has three a rabbit (!) bit the end of his finger off. We did cheat a bit though, when I had a possible fracture and when brother had possible appendicitis mum (GP) just took us straight to the right bit.

I've just caught up on 11 pages of the thread, and most of it has gone straight out of my head again, so hugs for everyone who needs them - here's to a relaxing weekend!

Mummyyof5 - Successful surgery vibes for your brother
Diva - Glad you managed to keep some food down
Jinky - Sorry you're feel carp (((Hugs)))
Pigpen - we've had 3 lots of stitches (2 x heads and one back) and have always been told to keep them dry.
Mags_cat - Sounds like you've had a rotten time. Hope you feel better soon.

My ankle was on fire when I woke up this morning. I have rubbed in loads of anti histamine and taken tablets and the swelling has subsided. There is a dull itch now that I am trying very hard to ignore. My ankle is purple. I have a 40th party tonight and I'm agonising about what I'm going to wear. I never wear trousers to go out and only own one reasonable pair which are definately not suitable for this time of year (heavy wool). At this rate I will spend more time putting heavy duty foundation on my foot rather than my face!

Took DD2 swimming and came back to s/s the kitchen, loaded DW. The big uns have mucked out their bedrooms so I have mountains of washing to get stuck into. Oh what joy!

Going to tackle todays list and also have to give the bathroom some attention as DD1 is bringing 2 friends back to get ready for the prom. She got a dress yesterday at lakeside and looks lovely in it.

Friday- those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
    Level One

Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see
Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself!!!!! paint your nails, make an appointment to have your hair done, a lovely soak in the bath.. whatever you feel like!! I'm having my nails done this morning as usual
    Level Two
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!
Strip beds, turn and vacuum mattresses!! and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets & pillows need freshening up too!! - DS2's room done. Only DD1, DS1 and DD2 & DS3 TO GO.
    Level Three
Rummage ALL the junk from one shelf and sort through it..
Sort through a toybox chuck out all the things they don't need any more.. charity or freecycle or whatever.
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors Done for DD2/DS3

    Extras
    • Wash a set of curtains, nets, duvet or throw
    • Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames!
    • End of week fling!! grab a binbag and fill it with stuff to leave the house.. rubbish or charity shop or to donate to a friend!
    • half an hour in the garden clearing the mess and making it nice for spring to arrive.. the sooner your garden is nice the sooner it arrives! Honest!

    Hello everyone
it was morning when i started this - but i decided to go and do a few things before i caught up properly - its so easy to spend loads of time on here - well it is for me - I am easily sidetracked.
It was looking as if it was going to be a cracking day but has got a bit overcast now.

Mumto5 hope the ankle is feeling better today.(((hugs))) for a speedy recovery.
Jinky (((hugs))) hope you are feeling a bit brighter today - let all the emotions out -its far better than bottling them up xx
Diva oooh thanks honey - I will be watching for the postie now! its good to see you are manageing to keep foos down now - hope its not long ebfore you are back on track and with the sleeping too.
xmaslolly76 welcome to the madhouse - hope you get things under control soon - the lists are only a guide - do things whatever way you find suits you best. (((hugs))) for DD1 and her aches - hope she doesnt have too hard a time with it. poor love.
helen jelly (((hugs))) hope you get a better sleep tonight - hopefully you will be sooooooooo tired that you will sleep right through
soappie as the others have said -no news could be good news - will keep everything crossed that its still going to be your job
Aunty Crafty :hello: thats some list:eek: but I am sure it wont take you too long to do it - you probably dont make a lot of mess when its just you.
pigpen hope you get the painting finished - when my brother gashed his head last year it was a couple of days before he could wash the dried stuff off and like the others have said the bruising comes out and it can be very tender.
:rotfl: at your dream - of course we love you :rotfl:
mummyyof5 (((hugs))) and prayers for your DB that the op is succesful and doesnt need to be done again. try to keep busy honey xx

    Afternoon all

Not enough washing for a load today, just as well because it keeps raining on and off.

I've polished in the living room and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Bleached ALL my mugs and washed them after and cleaned the cupboard before putting them back. Look like new ;) I'd still like new though.....

Sorted out my "money book" with today's wages and taken off May's expenses and still in credit :) Got to get tablets and stuff for the dog tomorrow though...

    Hope everyone's OK.

    Good Afternoon Ladies :)

Yay, it's Friday :j And for once I don't have loads of cleaning to do at the weekend. Lets hope the sun will be shining :)

Have to wait to do today's list as DH works nights and has taken to sleeping in the spare bedroom as apparently our bedroom is too light and he can't sleep. But this ties in nicely with my "pampering" bit in Level 1 - I'm off for a reflexology sesh at 2pm. Ok, so today's list is as follows:

    Friday- spare room

    Level Three
Rummage ALL the junk from one shelf and sort through it..
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors

    Extras
    Wash a throw
Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames!

Hiya hun, apologies not posting....been feeling dreadful, really bad....hoping :o its a virus and not a relapse.:(
Just about managed at work but had to leave early and rest.

Poor DS2 hope his multicoloured head is ok now, brave lad.

    Off for a catch up.

    I've done no flying....apologies, too wrecked.:o

ETA...hubby's finger is still slightly swollen, good job we had the ring cut off when we did, he's still very unhappy about not having his wedding ring on...daft sod...we'll get him another one soonish, I've seen one's with invisible hinges, think he'll have to get one of them as his knuckles are too swollen for an ordinary ring to fit over. Thanks for asking hun. xx
