Yeah, that's the thing that's most worrying me, which is why I've been looking at satnavs.
My fiance is good at navigation (she got her mum from Liverpool to Devon by following the A-Z) but I don't fancy her giving me directions then us falling out if I make a wrong turn lol.
I think my plan will be to drive from our house to my fiances grans house which is about 17 miles but make sure we have step by step directions first
I've never had a sat nav but I was brought up to read maps and MrsLA is a superb mapreader. We've driven all over the UK, France and NE USA with just maps.0 -

My mum passed her test and never drove for 2 years afterwards.
I am the same, passed 15/01/08 havn't driven sinceI have vowed to buy a car next year though
I am a great navigator though. Every holiday we go on I just need an uk A-Z and a bit of luck. But we always take a wrong turn at least once while we are on holiday, its tradition now0 -

Think about having a refresher lesson before you take to the roads again.
Everyone else will think you are an experienced driver and treat you accordingly.0 -

I really do have a mind like a sewer. Everytime I see this thread I think it is all about where you went for your first (let me put this politely) "teenage experience" in a car.
