Do you have a small Boots the chemist near you (small town or village one with a small dispensary or dispensary counter within a GP surgery)? After getting quite a few items at silly prices (Lee stafford perfume for £3 instead of £15, No7 Protect & Perfect serum £12 instead of £22, No7 Proctect & Perfect Day Cream £12 instead of £22), I asked why they were doing those deals and the larger stores weren't. I was told that as a small store they have to change the deal regularly and don't have a lot of space to store things so they will regularly clear out things and the offers will be near the dispensary counter. So if you're looking for a present or cheaper skin care then try there first.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. I use Palmolive shower gel, I love it and it is brilliant for shaving. Foamy and creamy, but not too thick to block the razor.
I get it when on offer, last batch were 86p each!!0 -
I have to dress smart for work and some of the shirts I picked up in the charity shop need cufflinks. I have 2 pairs but when I came across some very funky buttons I decided to turn these into cufflinks. All you need is 4 buttons (you can either have 4 matching or 2 pairs of contrasting of the same size, i.e. you'd have one of one type and one of the other to make a cufflink) and some shirring elastic. Cut a length of shirring elastic and double it over, thread it through the shank or holes of both buttons. Adjust the elastic until you have between 1/4 and 1/2 an inch of elastic and tie in a flat know and pull to make sure its tight. Snip the ends and voila, you have a new set of funky cufflinks.
I've also done this and used these to jazz up boots or shoes that have straps/buckles and wrapped them round. Means I can change them to suit my outfit.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. One thing i do is:-
Over the christmas period OH & I always get smellies (Perfumes, Aftershaves ect) Thats not to our taste. So i use these throughout the year in the hoover. A couple of drops / spray on the filter.
This makes the rooms smell better then the usual dusty hoover smell and saves me using air fresheners oftenFuture goals:

What do you do with old pillows? You know the old lumpy ones (not feather, the anti-allergy stuffing ones)?
I've stuffed one up the chimney in the hope that it will keep the house warmer this winter. That's once I've actually got any heating on, which I haven't yet.

Hotels often provide toiletries etc, which people like to take home, but I also take the shower caps to use as food covers in the fridge. They're just the right size for pudding bowls and tea plates, and can be rinsed out a few times. I also carefully unwrap and save the film over fresh veg and fruit punnets to use for the same reason
Note: these types of film aren't recommended for microwaving due to the plastic content which can leave droplets in the food.
I've never bought plastic bags, I save and reuse all the ones food/goods/clothing etc come in. Ideal for packaging freezer food, and clearing up the garden if you have animals
I also use clear plastic bags to store pairs of shoes in the bottom of the wardrobe, rather than have a jumble of footwear to rummage through to find the pair I'm looking for.
I use one of those multi-skirt hangers to clip handbags to in the wardrobe so I can find the one I'm looking for at a glance0 -

I save all the little bits of wax left over from candles (i.e even tealights if you have to blow them out before they burn out you will have wax left) and melt it all down to make another candle.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
