I know I could put it in a non clear pump bottle which wouldn't show it but I don't have anything and I don't want to go and buy anything at the moment.
Thanks!
I dilute Fairy Liquid approx 50/50, then agitate the bottle until it it all evenly mixed and I haven't ever had it separate.0 -

I agree that I always water down fairy liquid at least 50/50 and once shaken it never seperates xLoan finished Sep 2010 - HSBC CC - WAS £750 now £0! Natwest CC - WAS £1600 now £100 - Overdraughts to be worked on! WILL be debt free by mid 2011!!!

I have also been known to use bubble bath or shower gel as washing liquid substitute, with some soda crystals as usual.
How much hair conditioner do you use as fabric conditioner? Fab idea as I have had my hair ALL cut off and dont need the 3 bottles of conditioner I haveLoan finished Sep 2010 - HSBC CC - WAS £750 now £0! I've used a teaspoon of hair conditioner as fab con substitute in a bowl of handwashing (it's particularly good if you're washing natural fibres like silk or wool). Perhaps experiment with the teaspoon size as a starting point in washing machine and share the results? You can definately use hair conditioner as a subsitute for showergel or bubblebath; if you look at the ingredients they're broadly the same thing. As they're essentially detergents with perfume, colours and preservatives, I can't see why you can't wash the vinyl floor with them, either. Not sure if this has been posted before but instead of buying floor cleaner just add a squirt of washing up liquid and a squirt of bleach to the water. These are things you have in the home anyway so saves buying a third product and does the job just as well.
Also instead of buying cleaners for to wipe down the kitchen worktop after preparing a meal I just use hot soapy water.2013: Interflora Vouchers, Christmas Decorations, NNUK goody bag, thermos flask, macwet gloves0 -
Thanks for the washing up liquid tips. I'm off to try them now. I've given up buying Fairy as my Dad tends to stick vast amounts of WUL in at a time, Hubby is better but still a bit prone to overusing and we're going through loads of the stuff.

I find I can even water down the cheap stuff from Tesco - its surprising how little you need -and I hate too many suds anyway - no one has noticed.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

With regards to the hair conditioner, it makes a great shaving foam substitute for legs and underarms0

Done, it looks fine
Now on to shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and shower gel...
I'm after some containers to decant into but ideally I want them labelled so that there is no confusion about what is shower gel and what is MY BEST hair conditioner.
Any suggestions?Piglet

Cool; I decant the hair conditioner into an old fabric conditioner bottle and add some warm water to make it a bit thinner (otherwise it can be too gloopy to put into your machine). I love all this decanting, it makes me feel like a chemist! When it is about the same consistency as normal fabric conditioner, I just use the same amount as I normally would, all the while gleefully laughing. :beer:0
