use Mr S promotional offers and double nectar points. Last week I bought 5 250mL original source shower gels for 50p each by using their current promotion at £1 then doubling up my nectar points in a voucher.
Non-offer prices can be as much as £2.20 each.“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Apologies if this has already been mentioned......when running the taps in my kitchen waiting for the hot water to come through (combi boiler) I fill up empty 4pt milk containers. I waste 12 pints if I don't save it, I use this water to fill up the kettle, fill up the dogs water bowl (they get through about 7 pints a day between them) and any that is left at the end of the day is decanted into my watering cans to use in my greenhouse.
I pay £55 a month on my water meter so I save every drop I can:D0 -

I do this too, also with vinegar for cleaning.
I also had a kitchen cleaning solution in a large, plastic bottle with a spray gun.Once there was not enoungh in it to reach the plastic pipe,I transfered it to a smaller spray bottle (Weleda anti-perspirant bottles) are great for this, and a few months on,it's still going.
I pour shower gel into pump-action containers. In my opinion, you really use less doing this.0 -
I like to save money from work lunches by batch making my own spicy mexican bean and vegetable soup
Morris*ons have fruit and vegetables so cheaply compared to other supermarkets, I can get a whole weeks food for breakfast and lunch and snacks for £15 (dinner is bought by my mum) with loads of fruit and veg. I am vegetarian and eat mostly vegan and it is extremely cheap. Also for other veggies here, soya milk is about £1.49 in Morris*ons and keeps for about a month, which is good as it takes me ages to drink it all!
I also like to save ribbon and fabric. The plastic link on the strap of my cami top has broken and was destined for the fabric sash when I realised I could tie a small piece of ribbon through the two straps and secure them together. Hardly noticeable and saves buying another top! Dead pleased with myself there!"When I'm rolling in the benjamin's, I will throw you and your dog a bone, good night."0 -

I'm loving the offers in Mr S at the moment! I just bought:
a horse jumper (RRP £12)
a pair of tweed shorts with free white wool tights and belt (both age 7) (RRP £10)
3 cinema-size bags of minstrels/M&Ms (RRP £1.50 each)
6 pack of wotsits (RRP £2)
for £7.25!
I got one of the double up Nectar vouchers for the clothes and was given a £2.25 off £15 voucher with it AND a double points coupon. I used them all so £5 of Nectar points got me £10 to spend, the clothes were already half price in the sale, the food was all on offer for £1 each and I got an extra £2.25 off the lot!
So that's my cousin's birthday present sorted“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Accompanied my neighbour last week to Mr S - joy of joys - leggings in LEG LENGTHS!! So I got a double points voucher & bought a long pair as I'm 5'10'' with 34 inside leg. My neighbour needed some too so she also got long ones. She rang me the next day to say they dangled off the end of her feet - lol. She thought they were long as in ankle length not mid calf!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
