    Hi guys,

Am feeling at the end of my tether.

Can not see a way out.

Feel like my life is over, cos of the mess my drinking has caused.
Am so worried it's landed me in prison 'cos of when I lied, when I took the £500 loan out at 'The Money Shop' 2 weeks back.

What the hell do I do?

Have posted on Debt Free Wannabe board - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2552543

I can't see a way out of this, as even if I do the 'right thing' which I want to do, I'm worried it'll open a whole can of worms, and the A&L / Money Shop are going to convict me for fraud.

    Sim.

I can offer no advice on your financial woes Sim. Hope it all works out for you.
I know that if I was doing my best to try to insure that I do not drink alcohol today, then this won't happen today. Do what you can to make sure you don't drink today. Good luck

If Fayjmck is still posting on here, which she appears to be, can you please send me back my book that I leant to you last year....The Woman who walked into doors. You asked me in a PM for my address in October last year and I gave it to you but I have still not received my book back. Whilst I have chosen to not carry on posting on this forum, it doesnt mean that I dont want my belongings back that I was kind enough to lend you and refuse the postage charge. So please Fay, or someone who knows her reading this....post me back my book, I would like to read it again!!

Yes, Fay does post on here but is at present very busy moving house single-handedly!

Maybe a PM would have been more appropriate?

I've been sitting in the garden reading and thinking and came in and read your post. I feel pretty much the same in many ways. Being hungover for me brings out a whole load of anxiety about past things and horrible feelings that are tough to deal with. The catch 22 can be that you drink again to escape those feelings.

I agree with you too about how I feel after a few days AF. Just sitting in the garden this morning I feel so much better than when I've been drinking. At the moment, it seems like the wanting to drink won't happen today but it always does at some point. I will resist it today when it comes.

Agreed, and that's the madness of addiction. Alcohol causes/compounds problems, and yet we then use alcohol to make them go away!
No wonder it is a progressive problem

    Afternoon all!

Piglet at nursery so have some peace and quiet to come on here.....for a child that needed speech therapy he now never shuts up! People did warn me that would be the case but I didn't believe them!:rotfl:

NRA - the school visit went really well thanks. He loved it! Theres me a complete mess because I had to leave him for an hour and there was him having a whale of a time! Typical!;)

Marru - one day done for me on the challenge please!:)

Jo - Don't know what to say to be honest. I find my mind changes from one minute to the next about drink. In the mornings I'm fine but by 4pm I'm starting to waver. If I don't have any in the house it doesn't bother me so much. Perhaps you should leave your cards etc at home and only take enough money to do whatever you need to do of a day? That way you'd have to go home for cards first and I find once I'm through the door the urge to go back out lessens quite a bit!

Lurks - well done on not drinking during the footy!! Wierd but its how we associate drink with certain things....the stepkids are down this weekend and that will be a challenge for me as, for one reason or another, I usually find I "need" a drink when they're here! If we can break those associations we're halfway there!:)

Well.....I'm happy to say...the living room is finished!!! :D Looks lovely and I'm very pleased with it. Only got paint on the carpet once and thats cos I was dancing around trying to get the newspaper off that had stuck to my foot, forgetting paintbrush was still in my hand! :D I'm a walking disaster area........

Right...off to mooch some websites...looking for some sparkly silvery sandals....not my "usual" sort of thing but just fancy some!:D
