Morning all, what a shame about the game last night, dh just been moaning that if we win the next 2 games and so do USA but with better goal difference we will end up not winning the group and if we are 2nd we will probably play Germany !! This is all far too technical for me..

Oh no, really. I hadn't worked that out. Nooo.:(

    Hi Guys,

Just quickly bobbing in as I do :D

Thankyou so much for the get well messages, they are very much appreciated :)

Still not feeling very well and I feel cross as I have wasted a weekend and done diddly squat.

It is one of my VERY DEAR FRIENDS birthdays next week and I have been too unwell to go out and get her present :( I will really have to motor on next week. She is a real gem, first time I met her I felt like I had known her for years. We used to work together and she left our office a few years ago, we have still kept in touch and I always buy her a special gift, feel bad as this years gift will be rushed due to me being unwell

But just wanted to say Jo I am really interested in the dementia, as Mr Budgies father has been diagnosed with dementia/alzheimer's. The only thing that has been good about Mr Budgie moving out is that he has helped his father. Though we are aware he is getting worse :(

Rewind 2 years ago, he came to put us a new light fitting in, upshot was he could not remember how to do it? He just kept retesting wiring he had previously tested. He used to be an electrician, and it is very sad to see he has no knowledge of this now.

He rang me last week at 9pm but he did not know if it was morning or night? I did try and make him feel better by saying as it was light it was confusing?

    Sorry to ramble on :o

Anyways better go now, its F1 soon, cue Eselt here :) I am off to Torquay in July, if anyone is about?

Btw did we ever sort out: "Our Day Out"?

Oh and Dear Lurky, you promised Budgie something ;) I know impatient as ever, does this mean I am getting better? Hope so. Hugs matey (()) xxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh and Miss P sorry you have been ill too Hunny, talking of Honey where is our adorable care bear? Hugs (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

69 Chick sorry things are not too good at the moment hunny, big hugs and take care. (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxx Tree I understand totally about your aura, don't start me on the chakra's though :)

    Love you all
    Budgie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Afternoon everyone

    How are we all?

Jo - sorry to hear about your Godmother. Won't be an enjoyable trip but at least you will be there for your Mum. ((Hugs))

Budgie - ((hugs)) to you too. I started feeling poorly last Monday and feel I'm still getting over it. In the mornings my throat is awful. So you have my sympathies.

Well we've a nice day here. We all had a wander round the market. We wanted to get stepdaughter a savings pot she couldn't break into;). Since the debacle over her savings account (the one from our house, where she took the passbook home and her mother emptied it for her!) we don't like her taking money home. She does tend to squander it so we are encouraging her to save. Got Piglet a lovely cute little hi-vis vest to wear when he pops into my works. He looks a picture!:)

Then this afternoon we all went up the local little park...boys kicked footballs around and me and stepdaughter went on the swings (either they're making those seats smaller or my rump is getting bigger!:rotfl::rotfl:).

And now its lovely in the garden...so I'm off with the latest Stephanie Meyer book to soak up a few late afternoon sun rays.

TP1 you have achieved a lot already so don't beat yourself up about having a drink today, If I drink (even if planned) I always regret it during the night/in the morning and feel annoyed at myself which is really stupid waste of stressing yourself out as I can't change what has already been...

Miss P you have had such a great day, it's been tipping it down here all afternoon, so we have all been in and going a bit stir crazy!!

Treepotato....don't beat yourself up. Its not a competition. You're a cutter downer aren't you? If so, doesn't matter if you decided to have a drink today.

Yes, I had a lovely day thank-you :). Even if they DID kick a football at my head! (grrrr!)

    Hello,

Busy weekend. Went to a energy healing workshop on Saturday and couple of times when it was my turn to be a guinea pig I fell asleep straight away. Bliss. Came back home today at lunch time to be able to study while DD was at her friends for awhile. Still lot to get through and exam is tomorrow. It is going to be long night for me. So I am not able to catch up properly until tomorrow.

I will never forget DD's due date. She was due on Halloween but was born on All Saint's day. :rotfl:

13 for me please Miss P

Don't know what the exam is - but good luck! Hope your memory serves you well!

Subject tomorrow is performance management - limiting factor analysis anyone?

Good luck with the exam Marru!:)

I should have made it an AF day today as I only had two alcoholic drinks in the end. I feel a bit sick for some reason so I'm not drinking anymore.

    Hope everyone is okay.:A

I fell off the wagon. I didn't put up much of a fight, to be honest, but I am now almost through a 2 litre bottle of cider. And the only reason I am telling you all this is because I have so much respect for you all...plus I'm a compulsive teller of the truth!

12/29 for me Miss P - that doesn't include today.....

meh.... I am not going to beat up on myself. I am going to take my own advice and remind myself that I have 12 out of 29 days AF and that today need only be a one-off.

    sob

    Treepotato1

You have been so kind to me the past few days and I did listen when you and others said not to beat myself up about things.

As you say 12/29 is great and yes it will be a one off.

    Well done you :)

    Take care
