    Evening.

I've just been for a lovely meal at a friend's house. I cooked tagliatelle with red pesto that I made myself using the good old pestle and mortar, god I love that kitchen item!

It was really nice, they have a lovely flat with a huge garden and we sat outside eating, chatting and drinking chianti(oops) until just about an hour ago. then I went home and ran myself a bath and listened to Duke Ellington, absolute bliss.

so yeah, I had a glass or two of wine but in contrast to yesterday, today felt like such a treat, almost as good as a birthday.

My sister called a minute ago to re-iterate her apology for last night's outrage but I interrupted her and said that going over it again is pointless, it happened yesterday and at 10:30pm, it's too late to dwell on what happened way back then.

Hope everyone's doing good. Friday tomorrow and a long weekend to boot! I'm going to see my dad in Devon after I've finished work in the kitchen at the pub on saunday, it'll do him good I hope and I'm quite looking forward to a weekend away from the temptations of excess that bank holidays tend to bring..

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I feel like carp again today. I felt like I was tossing and turning all night. I'm going to get a hot shower and then maybe grab a cup of coffee. I don't normally drink it but I think I need something to wake me up.:D

    Morning all

    How are we all today?

    Morning Shaggy!

Foreverhopeful - its good to see you back. Good luck on the weightloss. I've ditched all my dieting stuff and am opting for Paul McKenna instead! Don't know if I'm losing anything but I'm a lot happier!:D

115k - Hope the coffee does the trick (I LOVE my first coffee of the day:D)

Brokepaulo - sounds like another lovely meal and a lovely evening. Hope you have a good time in Devon.

No Mrs Mopping for me to do today. Have put SIL off till Tuesday (so will do it twice next week...bleugh) so that I can take my Nan to the hospital for her appointment about her skin cancer. Mums appointment about hers went well the other day but I have a feeling my nans will need more hasty treatment. So me and Piglet are taking her. Oh...and Piglets taking his new toy. Me and OH were sorting out the loft yesterday and came across some old toys of mine...including my old Cabbage Patch Doll! Fabian Manfred has now been adopted by Piglet and he's asked if we can go and buy some little nappies for him today!!:rotfl: (And he's renamed him Fred....what was wrong with fabian Manfred!?:rotfl:)

Not many plans for weekend...OH taking stepson to MK for his snowboarding lesson and then Sunday he is doing a car boot. I'm having to force him as my car needs MOT next week and we can't afford it:eek: We're already taking OH's car off the road at the weekend as we cannot afford the road tax right now . Why do all bills come in at once?? Piglets new school say that uniform orders must be in by end of June...so I have to order it now.

AF again last night. Probably won't be tonight but may only have a glass or two.

Anyway, best get on. Have good mornings all!

Morning all, hope the sun is shining wherever you are :)

Haven't managed AF the last few nights but I have managed to keep to one or two glasses a night. After not drinking for a while I found it easy and really enjoyed the odd glass rather than a couple of bottles.

I will be drinking at the weekend as I'm away with family. We all have children so it will be fairly civilised drinks at meal times (which I actually prefer), rather than a session.

But I will be back on the wagon next week - I've a holiday to save for and some shorts to get into :D

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend everyone (won't be able to post while I'm away).
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Miss Piggy, just get the sweatshirts - couple should be enough as you can get rest of the stuff cheaper from supermarkets.

Woke up with headache and the fact that DD woke me up from very deep sleep quarter past six announcing that she had wet her bed.

Oh well - she is now in school, I should be studying but need to go and tidy the house as My Mrs Mop is coming and she won't be able to clean anything if there is so much clutter on all the surfaces.

    Good morning
Have been off work for a few days so no access to pooter, hope everyone is well.
DB my total is a Merry 14. I have quite a social weekend coming up so unless I am AF today I'm going to miss my target by 1. Unlikely that I will be AF as it's my book club evening and there's always a couple of glasses of wine amongst the 'literary' discussion :o .
I haven't really has a chance to catch up with all the posts I've missed, but could I just say Miss Piggy you sound like such a lovely mum; Piglet is a very fortunate young man.

Oh ICDT, that made me want to cry..bless you! I suppose its the bane of every parents life, but I constantly worry that I'm not a good enough parent (part of reason why I like to try and cut down my drinnking).

    Thank you

Marru - good idea...think I may get one polo shirt with logo (and sweatshirts) and then get other polo shirts at Asda. Seems ridiculous prices to me...£8.50 for a short sleeved polo shirt for a 4 year old!! Can I ask how old your daughter is? Just that Piglet still not dry at night yet either. Your little girl is at school though so I guess she's older.

Just got back from taking Nan to hospital. Its def skin cancer so they are making appointment to cut it out and do skin graft. Very glad I took her...she's very small (4'10) and I just feel sometimes she trys to be too independant. Think she was pleased I took her, and Piglet was SO well behaved that I've just treated him to a little pushchair for his Cabbage Patch Doll!:D OH will not be pleased!:rotfl:(espesh when he see's the toy baby bottle AND dolly nappies!!!)
