    Hiya guys,

Hope you've all had a good day.

    Mines been pretty amazing :-)

I got my parcel posted at long last (it was under 2Kg thank goodness, so it was £25 rather than £40, so I was able to afford some grub too!)

Saw my mate, had coffee, and had a good chat.

Then, went to 'give blood' as it were, for my LFT and full blood count - another thing I've been putting off for ages.

Called in at Doctors, and picked up Doc's note / repeat prescription for Vitamin B and Beta Blockers. Also remade a Doc's appt for 2 weeks time.

Went food shopping with my friend, and was then treated to a scrumptious meatballs and pasta dinner :P

Tried to fix my mates phone, but failed miserably!

Then came back, to a text left by CBT bloke, saying he was on a weeks leave, and that he'll get back to me and rearrange the CBT.

Substance Misuse lady called me back, and we've made an appt for next week.

Now watching the uplifting and cheery 'Five Daughters'.. :-/

Cuppa on the go. Chocolate at the ready (I'd gone 6 days without choc..never again!)

Will be in bed by 10.30 - 11, as I had hardly any sleep last night, but for the first time in ages, at least I got up rather than retreating to the safety / warm comfort zone known as bed..

Feels great for tackling some stuff head on today.

Graeme - love what you say re - "Someone said to me that if you have to control your drinking, then it is out of control. They were right about me"

    That is spot on.

Going to call the Manager, at the homeless drop in centre tomorrow, and move things forward with that.

Have also found a delivery job for the evenings, but I also have to watch going at things +1000 MPH or -100 - need to aim for steady ground / even keel / happy medium. 'Easy does it' and all that. We'll see tomorrow :-)

    Thanks guys,

    G'night,

    Sim x

    Evenin' all.

    Moral question

Yesterday I got a load of empty banana boxes from tescos as my daughter is cleaning her room out (to decorate it). Left the boxes in the lounge last night (she's a teenager, so they'll probably stay there for the next week until we nag her enough to take them to her room and start filling them)

Missus GP just shouted me down to point out a very small spider that was sitting on the edge of one of the boxes. She's convinced it's something exotic that's stowed away and is deadly poisonous.

She left the room while I 'saw' to it. Unfortunately whilst 'seeing' to it, the thing has legged it and scarpered behind the bookcase.

I got a piece of screwed up kitchen roll, pretended the spider was in it, and flushed it down the toilet.

    So do I:

A - stick with the charade and hope the spider doesn't come out
B - come clean and pull the bookcase out and hunt down the spider.

Press the red button to decide.

There are about three hundred booked on the bookcase which will have to be moved. It will take me all night. I probably won't even do that even if the moral concensus says I should.

If I found out my OH did that to me I'd divorce him.....

    Good luck ;)
