    Hi all,

Will catch up on posts since Friday in a min, just thought I'd report in as I just got home, 24 hours late - not that we overdid it on Friday night or anything. Given that our combined ages are 115 you'd think we'd have more sense - apparently not....I'll tell you the tale as a lesson to you all! You young whippersnappers!

12 of us went out for a meal & the wine flowed, and flowed, and flowed. My word. When we eventually got back to OH's (not that I remember) he was very very very ILL. Luckily my mentis was compos enough to get everything cleaned up & put everything bar the bathroom carpet in the washing machine & get it started (never used his before!!) (God but I'm good in a crisis) but it was 3am before we got to bed. I was supposed to be in the middle of Swindon at 9 to collect DD from a sleepover - I was up & dressed in time but thought I'd better check the breathalyser (some of you will know, so far I've NEVER been over the limit in the morning although OH often is...but he never drives if so) & I wasn't slightly over but WAY over the limit! So far over I had no chance of getting it down in time. OH checked himself thinking he might be OK having, er, lost a lot the night before, but he was the same. So I had to ring my friend (luckily a close friend) & tell her neither of us was fit to drive...& she hung on to DD for me until later. OH & I then stayed in bed til midday - never done that in 5 yrs - dogs missed their walk, DD missed her painting class, what a mess. My friend offered to have DD until this morning but then she would've missed her riding lesson too & I didn't want that on my conscience so by early afternoon I was on zero alcohol & then (serves me right) had to drive thro Swindon on a Sat afternoon, what a pleasure. OH still over the limit & having a medicinal vodka at this point! (against my advice!).

OH has managed to break the bathroom loo seat & has a whacking great bruise on his forehead, not sure of the 2 things are connected.

So for a "good" night out we managed to spoil the entire weekend for ourselves. I've had to come home today to get on with stuff as I didn't make it back yesterday so our Sunday roast is off!

No fool like an old fool eh? - make that 2.

& then we both fell asleep at 8.58pm last night so I missed Casualty. Lucky not to have the starring role I suppose.

    Be told!

Hugs WB, can't tell you how many times that's happened to me.

Onwards and upwards though hun, come sit next to me on this rickety old wagon, You can share me cushion n blanket :D

Lurkioio, listen up mate.....I've just looked at that website, almost was thinking of saying to you lot, right I'll give it a go and prove to you that it doesn't work.....5k in 2 months from laying horizontal on my couch...ridiculous. I think I shall not even bother after reading 'workout 1' of 'week 1', ie the very first thing you have to do: 'Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes' I'm thinking the five-minute warmup walk would be enough for me for a few weeks :o I may be making a jest of this, but if you think I could jog, no matter how slowly for a whole 60 seconds then you are very very much mistaken :o
