Read this thread with great interest.

I have hundreds, if not thousands of moles all over my body. It would probably cost me a fortune to have them all removed but I'm most interested about having the ones on my face removed. One on my forehead and one on my cheek. Lucky for me, I live 20 minutes down the road from Nottingham!

For all of you who have recently had moles removed at Nottingham, please continue to post details of the healing process and your feelings. I'm considering having the procedure after the summer so that I don't have to worry too much about staying out of the sun.
  • It seems everyone has run off mikey :(

I have a few on my face, but after talking with other dermatologists, I was told that radio surgery is not really that good for me because it only hits the top layers of the skin (unless they go deep, which they dont as far as I know).

    sighhhhhhhhhh

thankyou for your help sazb12, i really appreciate it.

ive just found some plasters that say they help keep wounds moist so im using these and vaseline at the moment to try and improve the indented area. ive no idea if it'll work but if the idea is to slow down the drying out part of healing then i suppose it cant hurt.

    thanks again.
    Hello megansussex

I hope the healing process is going well for you. Can I ask if you would mind posting a bit more detail about the proceedure and your experience of Snowberry Lane Clinic. My appointment is this week and I am beginning to worry slightly.

    Many thanks

yea some people seem to have problems with it though, from people i've spoke to, need to be wary of bloodroot ingredients, apparently it has that extract in it. i may be wrong though.

anyway if you google image bloodroot, u can see what it can cause.

lucy66..im happy to give you more information..

this is my view on the procedure and my opinion on snowberry/nottingham..i believe there is a skill in using this equipment and dr hamilton and dr gabriel sound equally capable. i found dr gabriel professional and focussed. the procedure its self was easy. the needle is very fine and i hardly felt a thing. a nurse was present and assisted. i heard the dr ask the nurse for what i assume was 3 different sizes of radiowave eqip depending on what part of the mole he was removing. i had been told that no doctor could trully fortell the outcome of the procedure because until the removal was underway they would not be able to see how embeddded the pigment was. this didnt really sink in at the time but i think i get it now..if the dark pigment part of your mole goes down a few layers of the skin then theyd obviously have to go down slightly deeper than surface to extract it and therefore there is a risk of some scarring. this is what happened to me and i think there is a possibility of a small (very small) scar..although i do know that when the skins deeper layer is broken the body takes 4 to 21 days to heal that area and then up to 2 whole years to completely mend..my wound is abt 10 days so i have no idea how things will be just yet. the previous posts say the wound is like a cigarette burn- i agree with this. i will ofcourse post when some more time has passed. my opinion lucy is not to worry too much, alot depends on how deep your moles are and how your body heals itself but as far as the clinic is concerned i feel (at this point) that the snowberry, or rather dr gabriel did a good job. i hope that helps.
