    Also.........

Can people NOT do the pinking shear border please, as sewandso have cut the squares to size. So we can all just cross stitch our squares and post them to lellypants who is then going to send them on and the quilters can decide how best to deal with them :) Ill pm lellypants about this.

I have lellypants' address and im pretty sure she wont want it posted on here for strangers (that may be stranger than us :rotfl:) to find lol! So im going to pm everyone the address. Hope this is ok, ill do this later on today so if you don't have it by tomorrow afternoon can you let me know please, but Im hoping not to miss anyone out :D

Great news about the stuff arriving Dorastar! Will pm you in a mo.

What are we doing about the second border, has any decision been made yet?

Had a great, if rather cold day out at Malvern Spring Show, really enjoyed myself! I am absolutely cream crackered though, so off to have a lie down, and listen to the cricket. Hoping England will beat South Africa - this is the only sport where I regularly support England (I am a Scot...and we don't talk about our cricket team! :p).

Have a good evening, will pop on tomorrow sometime.

Right ive been having a look at Tangles' finished design and i was thinking the second border could be a 1 row border (like the first one thats there) 5 rows after the first....
so there are 4 rows inbetween the 2 borders, then we can stitch our name and county on using the middle two rows (so there is a blank row above and below the writing)
and we'll stitch the writing in the bottom right hand corner.
the border will be the same colour as the letter and the writing will be in black back stitch...

Does that sound ok? Im not sure if ive explained it very well

or do you think we need 3 rows to stitch the writing?

Ive just had a play around and the name and county look fine to me stitched over 2 rows but what does everyone think?

Also is there anyone who doesn't feel confident backstitching their name and county? If so im sure someone will do it for them. ill offer xxx

Sounds good Emzy, off to see if I have some lettering that will fit in two rows. Do you happen to have one in mind?

Thanks for all your help in this project.

Well, Scotland have had a few reasonable players over the years, but not really a decent team, sounds like their football team these days too! :D I do support them when they play...honest! Scottish weather just doesn't really help where cricket is concerned...apart from the long sunny summer evenings, but watch out for the midges!!! :rotfl:

Off to have a look for some lettering now...England look like they just might win!!

Thanks Emzy. I'm still not 100% confident about where you are wanting the back-stitched words and boarder, maybe Tangles could do it on their square and take a photo?

With the words, I think it would be nice to all use the same font.
