I wish I had hung on to the letters, I am baffled anything financial (which is why I'm asking for help here) my (soon-to-be-ex) hubby looked at it and said it was a secured loan. Surely they wouldn't have given an unsecured loan for such a large amount to someone with such bad credit? Is that possible? I think I might be slightly less worried now!
Thank you, and the other MSE'ers for all your help and advice, your time is much appreciated.0 -
Is it possible that they took out the loan before they sold the house?
I would suggest that if you do not understand the letters in future, you take them down to CAb and aks them to write to the creditor (preferably regsitered post) and tell them that they no longer live at the house. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
I set up my new phone contract over the phone, no proof of ID needed, and got the phone delivered to my work as no one was home during the day, so I can see how someone could lie about their address under the circumstances. Anything that comes through your door I'd just write 'return to sender on it' then on the back 'the Mr/Mrs X moved out and sold this property on (date). Their new address is XYZ. At the end of the day I can see it would be very annoying, but its not going to hurt you or your credit record.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

We get other peoples' mail. One of them asked me to actually give him his mail. If he wants it, he can come and get it and change his address. 90% of the mail we get is for people who no longer live here.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
