I didn't believe in maternal instinct as something that fathers can't learn, but I do wonder.

But this is my hubby's 4th!!! You would think he would know that babies (at least this baby) need stimulation!!

He is very good with Benjamin, and I think part of the problem at the moment is that he is stressed to the max and is struggling to function at home anyway (can you imagine what our house is like LOL). I guess once Benjamin starts talking then he can tell his daddy himself to haul his laxy butt out of bed and play :D

Speaking of which - Benjamin has started making a consistent noise when I say 'Love you' and he makes the same sing-song tones back :A It's not words, but I know what he means ;)

Maz - I know I should ask this question the day before I want to buy nappies but do you know off the top of your head where is the cheapest for green nappies ATM?

By green I mean the ones I use at night-time, not eco-friendly :o

What size MFD... I am now even sadder and have extended my spreadsheet to include all sizes from 3 - 6 !!!!

MFD & SS We're a bit the same here, not so much with OH because he still gets cuddles off her :(, but also does fun throwing her around stuff.

But I felt a bit sorry for FIL at the weekend. He used to get cuddles off her too, but now she has fully working legs, she's not sitting still long enough so I think he felt a bit of a spare part!

V is being girly cute this morning. She's brought me L's tub of hair clips and given me 6 assorted ones to put in her hair. :A She looks so cute if you ignore the big green caterpillar crawling out of her nose.

Aw, we have this too. So cute! Poppy did this too, sounds like 'nu nu' in our house.

Jamie's eyes and nose are streaming today but I'm wondering whether he has hayfever rather than a cold.

He woke up in a really cheery mood with me this morning but a really grumpy mood with his daddy. It is getting to be more and more common that he is crying when his daddy has him and wanting to come to me :( I think it is because I talk/entertain/play with him whilst hubby wants cuddles (especially in the morning) but hubby doesn't seem to see that. He thinks Benjamin should just want to lie there with him, or sit on the sofa with him...it ain't ever gonna happen!!

I do feel awful for hubby though. I would hate it if it were the other way around.

Interesting, MFD... we noticed almost the same thing but it was the other way round - I was the one playing and stimulating E, OH was the one who had him all day and wanted periods where he would just sit and chill out with her, and he noticeably started picking me over her when I was around.
She changed her habits to make a point of having intense 100% play-time with him for solid periods a couple of times a day, and now he is happy with either of us :) but it was a bit upsetting for a while.

Poor Benjamin's bottom :( "Butt OUCH" as Elijah would say.

How cute on "love you" :) he'll be talking sweetly very soon! One of our games at the moment when we're in different rooms, is to tell Elijah "go see mama/dadden and say 'love you'" - he sprints off to find the other person, stares at them intently and says "uv ooo" :)

no cuddles here either, she puts her arms out for you to get her, but she's just using you really to help her stand up ;)

I've just had lots of snuggles from Jamie :D. Milk > snuggles > nap.
