Does anyone know where I could buy a Mei tai style sling (cheap)...is it Joey and ellaroo that are the same thing? I can only seem to find them for around the £50-£60 mark!!!

    xx

This place has some good bargins. The website doesn't work very well but if you email them they reply really quickly (based in Cambridge). I got my calin bleu wrap from there for the bargain price of £25 and they seem to have mei tais for £45.

  • WM - Do you think it is because you know how quickly they grow up? I get a bit like that will MIL if she comes over at the weekend. She gets a full day of him in the week and then she 'wants to help me out' at weekends too??? I can cope with my own child woman!!!

Well I can now I am at work during the week Glam ;)

I am a firm believer that being a SAHM isn't right for some people, and it is better for both me and Benjamin that we both get to spend time in an environment where we can develop our brains :D

Poppy: 'Mummy, I'm NOT having my hair brushed today. I'm being VERY naughty'!

I had to remove myself from the room so she didn't see me laugh :o

EA what you described sounds just like my eczema, see your HV or GP and be careful what products you use on her skin/in her bath in case it's a reaction, I'd probably put a natural oil (olive/sunflower/coconut) or vaseline on it for now to try to soften/moisturise it otherwise it will probably crack and be sore maybe bleed.

It could be, as me and DH have eczema. Mine has cleared up alot since growing up and DH's comes back here and there.

I tried calling the doctors and its closed
 so we are going to ask the HV tomorrow at the parent baby class thing :)

Is it bad that I looked at the weather and sighed with releif that it's to be cloudy? Amber isn't going to bed till about 9-10pm because of the light so cloud means she will settle earlier. Need to get a blackout blind.

WM, I think you just know how quickly they grow up and want to enjoy them as babies as much as you can. I'm the same way, Michael was away staying with family all the time, Chris and Amber have been kept at home more because I think I missed a lot of Michaels babyhood.

Tara, does he know you don't sterilise? lol! DH was shocked when I said I hadn't used the steriliser for a few weeks :D

Argh went to pixi foto this morning, all i will say is , didnt get the pics done in the end, im not gonna rant on about it anyway (yet lol)

Sami i was looking at the pics last night thinking how shiny your hair was!! im jealous mine isnt that shiny when its freshly washed!!

Workingmummy, i was quite possesive over jake but now we've no-one to have either kids - ever!!(except my sis when she's visiting) OH's mum used to have jake alot but she passed away last year, when i ask my mum i get the impression she doesnt really want to?? which i dont understand really, i mean i understand she's done her bit, had 4 kids ect ect, but surely i could use a bit of support every now and again, i rang her shortly after i'd had jasmine, i was not well and was nearly crying with exhaustion, she still didnt offer to come and help me out:cool:, oh well..

cant wait to get back into a routine next week when jakes back at nursery, im getting really stressed atm! jake just wont leave jasmine in peace its driving me mad!!

Not sure how much use I would get from it tbh! I am keeping a lookout on eBay:)
I have never used one before, but am thinking of a sling to use around the house, as much as anything else....I do have the bargain Babasling that I picked up from TK Maxx, but not sure I really like it:cool:
if your planning it for newborn you might prefer a wrap, I found Ed felt much more secure in the wrap when he was little.
MTs are fine for newborns though, I suggest a msg to Fritha, she'll have more useful advice :D

right I'm going, if i'm here in the next 2hrs and not saying my plans have been ruined tell me to bog off :D

I'm not posessive at all. Since they have born my family have been involved alot and I really do appreciate having time to myself (such as now ).

My Mum thinks her heart would break if she doesn't see them so I'm willing to share :D.
