Ooo - gogo crawlymonkey Molly! So much drama and excitement to come! Is the house ready for a mobile Molly yet?
Not in the slightestAnd Husband is being useless about it. He claims to be very sick with a cold. I'm also snotty and miserable but I'm still doing my regular job, cleaning the house, minding the baby and applying for new jobs. And I'm not whinging about feeling ill because there isn't time.

Will she take a bottle of EBM? (I know you said you couldn't express enough - just wanted to know if it was the bottle or the formula that she objects to).
She is 8 months old. She doesn't tend to use bottles anymore, though she always would take ebm from a bottle - she prefers her sippy cups and beakers now. So I think it's more the formula, as she won't really take it from a bottle or cup. I can sometimes get her to take a little, but maybe only as much as an ounce, and most times not even that.0 -
SS - I am firmly on the side of not 'baby-proofing' so I didn't do much. A few bump guards on really sharp corners and a fireguard and that was it. I still haven't bought a stairgate so doubt I will now!!She is 8 months old. Hmm - as Tia said, the cartons are different to the powders, have you tried a few different types? I was going to suggest cows milk if she was a little older...please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Squishy, try not to worry. You may find she accepts formula at nursery when she sees the others having milk. Out of interest, did you use pre made cartons or powder? Even if she doesn't take any while at nursery, so long as she has a couple of good feeds the rest of the day she won't be harmed in any way.
I was hoping this! We're using the premade cartons, as she flatout refused to take the powdered stuff. I have no problems with feeding her morning and night (and she still feeds during the night!), I'm just concerned she might get upset if she can't feed during the day, iykwim? I'm sure she'll get used to it though!
For those who bf over 6 months: I was told by the health visitor that if I continued to feed over this point, either bubs or I would have to go on vitamins - anyone else get told this? I'm also concerned about iron intake (so have been interested in the conversation on this recently!) as none of the baby vitamins contain iron, and I can't take iron tablets with my underactive thyroid.0 -

Nobody ever said anything to me about vitamins and I fed for 55 weeks.I've tried all of them

You can definitely use cows milk in her porridge.
You may find she feeds more morning and night. You may find she takes formula when you aren't there. I guess you need to just wait and see.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
