Sewers (anyone), I'm looking at trying some basic sewing (a tutu, curtains for Ambers room, tabard dress), is the JML mini sewing machine any good? DH won't let me spend more than an xbox game on what will probably be forgotten about after a few days (so £40).

ETA, the JML one looks crap.

They are all crap.. the most basic machine in argos is better the small ones are just useless. Better off trying ebay or begging on freecycle!

Ebay linked one looks like a pile of the proverbial.. argoa one looks heaps better

Tia ... agree with PP ... mine is my mums old one (and she is a dressmaker) and was over £200 when she bought it 10 years ago and I love it for the basics I do ... I would choose the argos one over the ebay one but def not one of the wee cheapy ones ... t would end up costing you a fortune in needles !!

I had to go find the photo! I really hate those ugly things with a passion :o:p

    V's dress is lovely though!!

Thank you - the dress looked much better before it was covered in lolly-ice (ice-lolly, ice-pole etc depending where you come from! :p)

    I love it. :D
It's so easy to push with one hand with the other hand controlling J.

We went to the beach for a walk, and I felt like a wag with people looking and commenting. I think some of the pensioners comments were more 'why is she pushing her baby round in a golf trolley' :rotfl:

I may need some help from SS/MFD. I got no instructions. I can get the seat off, tilt it etc, flip the wheels up, but can't figure out how to shrink the pole (iykwim!).
Also, there is lots of zips on the hood - why?
And there's the bag that sits on the back bit, and a bigger bag. Where does the bigger bag go?

Have you ever got dog hair in your throat, and no amount of gagging will get it away?

There must be a trick to get it out. It's seriously bugging me.

I was talking to a woman with her 10 month old today, she had a black Zia. I must admit they're very very nice.
