muso - just a thought...I would HIGHLY recommend getting the book Happiest Baby on the Block and/or watching his YouTube videos. He teaches 5 almost-fail-proof steps to calming any crying baby under 3 months. Cannot swear by this enough - it's amazing and totally grounded in history/science and cultural practices. If you don't want to dish out for a book, or aren't a book person, the YouTube videos will give you a basic idea of how to implement (and the books have the additional info of the theory behind it and why colic doesn't exist in other cultures).

    Thanks! Have ordered a copy.

We've tried to get a bath/bedtime routine going this evening in the hope that Holly's a bit more relaxed so crossing my fingers for a bit more sleep tonight.

Big hugs Mel. Not sure I can offer any advice but I hope you get the chance to relax a bit soon.

I went to Mothercare to try the Petite Star Zia today and absolutely loved it. It is so easy to push and fold. I've even convinced OH that we need one!

diy baby porridge/rice? the hipp stuff is somewhat gloopy and doesn't look particularly appetising - is there any reason I couldn't use normal porridge or rice for little man's food?

Talking of ebay feedback (501 SS) Would anyone be happy if they received a package that was in a clear as in totally see through, rather than opaque white, wrapping? Regardless of what was inside??

I got something and it !!!!!! me right off! Nothing personal inside but thats not the point! Dying to leave a neuteral but is that harsh? (OH says it is but hes a big girl sometimes lol)

I'd not be very happy either.. if it had been wrapped in something so you couldn't see what it was then fair enough..

I would leave positive but email the seller and suggest next time the item is at least covered and something more substantial is used.

Hugs Mel, hope tomorrow is better xx

csh, I'd send a message saying that a clear plastic bag is not suitable for posting. Depending on their reply, I'd leave a neutral. If you get an appology, leave a positive but do say bad packaging, if you get a cheeky reply, leave a neutral. I think feedback should be honest.

what is it about commuting to Farringdon?! Me and one of my local non-mse mummy friends are also based in Farringdon & we are both thinking the same! For some reason the words "first crapital connect" spring to mind...

Something like that! Just adds far too much time to my journey and i hate faffing with interchanges. It wouldn't be so bad if i lived closer than 15 min uphill from the train station.

Good to hear thomas is sleeping though :D

I believe you can phone them up and then they'll reclaculate based on your estimate for this year.
