Afternoon all..
We got our TC renewal pack today too
Just need to scout out the P60s again now.. am sure I put them in "a safe place" but have been waiting so long for the form I've forgotten where that safe place is
Still feeling crappy with the cold. Left work early today (I'd finished everything so asked my kind-of-boss if I could leave early and make it up next week and he just shrugged and told me there was no need to make the time up... HA, that would never happen in HR!) and went to Tesco for miracle tablets as recommended by our cleaner. Fingers crossed they work, am fed up of not being able to breathe
Finally getting my haircut again tonight
No work tomorrow, but visit from Rhys' community nurse (the one who upset by email the other week) in the morning then maybe a trip into town in the afternoon. There's a work organised picnic in the big park in central town on Saturday so hoping the weather stays good and we can go to that as it's OH's weekend off
Today was his first day covering properly for his boss who's now on holiday for two weeks. Sounds like his boss has lined up lots of out-of-the-ordinary jobs for him to do, including meeting with the visiting (from China) company top dog!
Am hoping OH has remembered to go pick Rhys up from Mum's about now...
Hope everyone's had a good day... :grouphug:s as required xxx0 -
Woooo the Apple is tracking, it's at Manchester depot right now
:T I just had a feeling he'd miss the pickup or something. weeee
Now let's hope i don't miss the delivery, for any strange reason tomorrow. lmao.0 -
Bad day here today:( This might be long......
Been in a foul mood most of it as I was soo tired. I planned to go tots group with K and then knowing I would get a nice nap when I got home as K would sleep for about 2hrs! Well dh sat down cuddling him with his blanket and dummmy, he inevitably fell asleep while I was upstairs doing my hair....this was about 9.20/9.25 (was going to leave at 9.30, when it started) So was annoyed with that as it seems he did it on purpose! I didn't bother waking him as would have only been A) moaned at by dh for waking him
had to put up with a grumpy woken up baby (possibly) and C) Was too busy sulking and wanting to prove my point that dh had done it intentionally.
While we sat in silence watching the time ticking by the post came...with crap news. Dh's application for ESA has been refused!! No idea what we are going to do now......Apparantly it is down to income from the previous two years...!!!!!! yes obviously our income was higher in previous years, which is exactly why we have never bothered claiming for any kinds of social security benefits in those years!! We now have no income.......how can they use income for 'other years' to calculate our needs for this year, I don't get it??
Once K woke up we went to town as the boys were desperate for socks, also stopped at the park on the way home...only for some stupid strangers to start commenting about how many babies I must be having as I am soo huuuge. I have also been feeling sick all day, as well as having my morning messed up, I wasn't really in the mood for it. Got home and K was shattered (thankfully) so shoved him in his cot and went to bed myself (cried a bit too, feeling all sorry for myself) Still in a bad mood and feeling sick, just want to cry (again) The older two have also chosen the worst day to decide to irritate each other and argue, so have ended up shouting at them all day, which only adds to making me feel worse!!!
Sorry it was so long, just really needed a rant and as I am barely speaking to dh if I start, I won't stop and we will have a major falling out...which wouldn't really be fair on the kids:(
Hope others have had a better day xxUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Hugs redmel, thats sounds like an awful day. Hope tomorrow is better. xxx
Edit to add that the above sentence goes nowhere near telling you how much sympathy I feel for you (in totally unpatronizing way) and how grrr at your other half I feel.DS1 12/10/04

We had a really rough night here. Holly was crying uncontrollably from about 10pm through to 4am. There was literally nothing that would stop her. Her face was all scrunched up and red and her arms and legs were flailing about all the time. I've been doing a bit of reading and it seems that this all fits as symptoms of colic. I'm due to see Health Visitor tomorrow (although she hasn't been in touch yet) so obv will speak to her about it but if any of ylu have any knowledge/suggestions I would be very interested in hearing them.
In the end the only way we could get her to calm down was by her falling asleep on the boob whilst in our bed. Now having her sleep in our bed was not something I had planned on, so again I would love some opinions on this.
Hope everybody else is doing significantly better than us this morning!
Sorry to hear about that, I know exactly how you feel, E had colic, real bad, its getting better though.
The only thing is they dont usually get it so young, but thats not to say its not what Holly has got?
I know u r breast feeding so the anti colic bottles and the aptail milk I use wont help lol butE seems to have got so much better on the colief, we get it from the dr's
CSH - I did that and they told me that, then the next week I got something
Weve been to the beach today, it qwas fab

muso - just a thought...I would HIGHLY recommend getting the book Happiest Baby on the Block and/or watching his YouTube videos. He teaches 5 almost-fail-proof steps to calming any crying baby under 3 months. Cannot swear by this enough - it's amazing and totally grounded in history/science and cultural practices. If you don't want to dish out for a book, or aren't a book person, the YouTube videos will give you a basic idea of how to implement (and the books have the additional info of the theory behind it and why colic doesn't exist in other cultures).top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Talking of ebay feedback (501 SS) Would anyone be happy if they received a package that was in a clear as in totally see through, rather than opaque white, wrapping? Regardless of what was inside??
I got something and it !!!!!! me right off! Nothing personal inside but thats not the point! Dying to leave a neuteral but is that harsh? (OH says it is but hes a big girl sometimes lol)0 -
Was it securely packaged in the sense that the contents wouldn't get damaged? If so then I think a neutral is a bit harsh, although I would probably leave a comment as that is a bit weird.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

You know when something like textiles is packaged in a flimsy dust cover type clear bag that you could shoot peas through? Well it was in that sellotaped shut! So not even a high grade see through plastic!
Anyway, mind those orange economy pampers nappies we got from a Boots glich aaggeesss ago? I recently started using them. They're not that bad for what I paid, a bit thin and I don't think I'd use them overnight. Wouldn't buy them again but happy to use up my supply!
Is H into his yet?0
