Talking of ebay feedback (501 SS) Would anyone be happy if they received a package that was in a clear as in totally see through, rather than opaque white, wrapping? Regardless of what was inside??

I got something and it !!!!!! me right off! Nothing personal inside but thats not the point! Dying to leave a neuteral but is that harsh? (OH says it is but hes a big girl sometimes lol)
When I have a minor issue like that, I usually send them a message about it and then see what their response is like before deciding whether to leave neutral or positive. (And I wouldn't be happy with a parcel coming see through either.)

Csh I'd probably leave something like "item was received safely, no thanks to dodgy packaging." But I'd make it a positive.

While we sat in silence watching the time ticking by the post came...with crap news. Dh's application for ESA has been refused!! No idea what we are going to do now......Apparantly it is down to income from the previous two years...!!!!!! yes obviously our income was higher in previous years, which is exactly why we have never bothered claiming for any kinds of social security benefits in those years!! We now have no income.......how can they use income for 'other years' to calculate our needs for this year, I don't get it??
:grouphug: It seems to be fairly standard with a lot of things that they base it on previous years on the basis that for most people this will give a true reflection of current income. I couldn't say about ESA but I know that with other things (tax credits and student loans/fees when I was a student) that if your income has dropped you have to apply with your old figures and then ring them up to say your income/circumstances have changed and then they adjust to what your current income is. It's probably worth phoning them up to find out if this is the case and what you need to do to get them to base it on current circumstances.

A miracle has occured chez always - little man asleep already, I doubt he'll manage the night through but the utter luxury of possibly having a whole evening for me (us when dp gets home) is a miracle in my book! :)

hugs mel, hope tomorrow is better, bet a hot half term with irritating children and dh's is a nightmare, not to mention a hot heavily pregnant with irritating children and dh's half term. and I am with you on the benefit thing - why is tax credits assessed on income I've already had, how on earth do I get it now we've had a nil assessment but our household income is nearly half what it was 6 months ago?????

I've had a week home now and it's lovely being a mummy again instead of a 12 hours a day working zombie with little man trailing behind me - I need to go away again in July but for the time being it's family time. And weaning time - strawberry mush / crushed in hands is streets ahead of anything else so far!

I may or may not be browsing around for a new PT job in Surrey because I seriously cannot be arissed with trying to commute to Farringdon and paying for 4 days' childcare :(.

what is it about commuting to Farringdon?! Me and one of my local non-mse mummy friends are also based in Farringdon & we are both thinking the same! For some reason the words "first crapital connect" spring to mind...

You know when something like textiles is packaged in a flimsy dust cover type clear bag that you could shoot peas through? Well it was in that sellotaped shut! So not even a high grade see through plastic!

Anyway, mind those orange economy pampers nappies we got from a Boots glich aaggeesss ago? I recently started using them. They're not that bad for what I paid, a bit thin and I don't think I'd use them overnight. Wouldn't buy them again but happy to use up my supply!
    Is H into his yet?

That sounds a bit pap. I'd do what Susan suggested.

We're not into them yet, but that's good to know. H doesn't seem to be a very heavy wetter- I can't remember the last time we had a wet leak so I will give them a go for daytime.

Always- nice to see you and glad you're enjoying being back at home.

I'm just nomming a home made healthier version of fish and chips with mushy peas. Delish!

    Thanks everyone.......

Dh did try to ring them but got no sense from either the dippy woman he spoke to first time round, or the team leader who phoned him back!! Apart from 'you can appeal'! We don't really want the scummy money anyway, just a bit trapped at the moment and there doesn't seem to be many options open to us!!!

Also did you know that any personal documents that are sent to the Jobcentre (benefits dept) are opened by Royal Mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure we will get through, we usually do somehow!

Well K in bed, older two have been locked in the garden;) Not really, but I have told them to go and bounce some of their frustrations out on the trampoline and come back in when they are worn out!!!!

I am drinking some iced water and trying not to be sick. I am too depressed to think about it all anymore, dh is on the computer with his headphones on. All I really want is a cuddle and for someone else to make everything all better.
