Anyone been to a chiropractor? I'm signed off for another week still but I'm not seeing any improvement in my back/shoulder from resting it (Ha resting it! Just not working!) It seems that any repeated movement in my right arm is aggrevating the muscles under my shoulder blade and right down to the bottom rib. Don't know if its worth trying something other than the GP?
I went a few years ago (well I say a few...about 7 LOL). It wasn't cheap and they try to suck you in to going regularly but it did do me some good. I think I had about 12 sessions (I was going twice a week to begin with) with an impossibly handsome chiropractor.
It is a bit scary (as he cracks all your spine into place and cracks your neck) but I felt much better afterwards.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

LOL this is a woman, looks yet to be confirmed!
I know its going to be expensive but *wails* I don't know what to do! Am in agony after driving etc and no way I can work with this! Even light work eg on the till is all arm movement.
Doc has given me pills but they just space me out and don't really help. I'm not sure how another non specific 'back pain' sick line will go down at work. They are already out to get me! Paranoid much!
I'm also dreading going on holiday sore as its making me really crabbit when I'm tired as its worse at night0 -
Bruno. Very glad the scan went well. 10th Dec is DS1's birthday too.
Mel - Balls to your OH. You need all the sleep you can get, when you can get it.
SATC2 was excellent, better than the first. Total glam and escapism. Samantha is fab and hilarious.:D0 -
SS - we are having that stage at the moment as well. It's a nightmare, all Jack does is whinge, whinge, whinge. When I hold him he wants to get away and when I put him down he just wants to be held. I tend to just pop him on the floor with a selection of toys or food and leave him to it - but then he just follows me round anyway. Do you have a walker or door bouncer?
I was trying to get ready for work this morning and all he wanted to do was be held so I've ended up with my hair up and no make up on
Nightmare isn't it?! We just had to replace our door bouncer after one of the straps holding it to the doorframe snapped  and it's a Lindam one, but it's made for UK-height doors and while we were able to lengthen it to maximum and jerry-rig an extra strap, she's not able to travel as far as she was before and that is also annoying her.My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »SS - what is the parasol like? I keep umming and ahhing over whether to buy one or not.
Still in the packaging, the weather here has been uniformly crapThe travel bag was fantastic though
and the parasol looks good in the apartment, but I've no idea how well it'll shade her yet.
He's a speedy little sod but doesn't even crawl properly - he crawls on one knee and has the other leg stretched out to the side and drags himself along :rotfl:Lazy boy.
The funniest thing is when he's in his playpen and he crushes his face against the side while he's trying to stand up and then you just see these little eyes peering over the top of the playpen!
Wow, can't believe K can say Mummy! All I ever get is 'aggggggggggghhhhhh' or when he gets excited he pants like a dog!
Molly just drags herself along too. She has the idea of crawling but keeps bellyflopping and then screaming in rage. I do love the eyes over the playpen thing though, that melts my little heart.
Glad you said it about K saying Mummy - we get mama but nothing like Mummy and an occasional yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah. She does pant when she's very happy though :rotfl:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Morning everyone! (At least I think it's morning)
We had a really rough night here. Holly was crying uncontrollably from about 10pm through to 4am. There was literally nothing that would stop her. Her face was all scrunched up and red and her arms and legs were flailing about all the time. I've been doing a bit of reading and it seems that this all fits as symptoms of colic. I'm due to see Health Visitor tomorrow (although she hasn't been in touch yet) so obv will speak to her about it but if any of ylu have any knowledge/suggestions I would be very interested in hearing them.
In the end the only way we could get her to calm down was by her falling asleep on the boob whilst in our bed. Now having her sleep in our bed was not something I had planned on, so again I would love some opinions on this.
Hope everybody else is doing significantly better than us this morning!0 -
Glam he only started saying it this week! I was all like 'awww hes saying mummy!' now its more like 'christ stop moaning at me! lol Just kidding, love it really!
K's crawling is really coming on and he crawls his way through to the kitchen when I'm in there now! I can hear his wee hands slapping along the floor so I know hes coming! So cute!
Yeah I can always hear him coming, he's dead noisy when he crawls! It's when he's quiet that I worry - generally means he's up to no good!
My stairgates don't fit the stairs or the doors so I'm constantly trying to make sure he doesn't go up the stairs!
Never been to a chiropracter but hope it gets better soon
SS - I shall upload a piccie of 'Eyes over Playpen' when I get home.
Just need to stop him using the toilet to pull himself up - he has a habit of snogging whatever it is he is using to pull himself up :eek:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
muso - not met you yet! Hello!
Have you tried a dummy? Maybe she just needed to suck.
If I could do it all again with the knowledge I have now I would never have let Jack sleep in our bed, I did it because I was lazy and I wanted a quiet life. I now have a 9month old who is a nightmare to get to sleep in his cot.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

MFD what did you get your hubby for his birthday in the end?
Mine's still struggling with birthday gift ideas, he doesn't seem to realise that a cleaner doing the apartment while I'm at a spa and he's playing with Molly is my ideal gift.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Bruno, it must've been because I was reading the thread right before bed, but I had a dream about you and Mrs B (and E) last night . Don't really remember what it was about only that it centered around you guys. Tres bizarre. And I remember E was cute
.
Well done for good sleep!
And E is in fact very cute :A so it was no doubt a true dream
I had a dream about SS last week! The details are gone but it involved my visiting offices doing some sort of survey on her behalf... thrilling stuff0 -

Sounds like it could be wind. Have you tried Infacol? Is she giving you good big burps? If anyone tells you a BF baby doesn't need winding they are talking poop!!
Don't worry about baby in the bed ATM (as long as you are fine with her being there). She is too young to know any difference or get into any 'bad habits' she just needs to know that you are there - she is still very tiny and only just getting used to this new scary world.
