I agree about the sleeping in the bed, I spent the first 6 weeks (at least) with William in the spare bed as that was the only way he would sleep but it did make things easier for feeding - laying down. I then kept trying him in the cot for small spells and now he sleeps in there all night apart from a feed about 1.30ish

I went with the flow to start with (just anything to keep functioning) then I started to pop him into his bed when he was asleep (if I was awake LOL) then as things settled I tried to make sure I stayed awake to pop him back in bed after every feed. Then by 12 weeks he moved into his big boy cot in his own room and I stopped waiting for him to fall back asleep after a feed and just putting him back in his cot.

Eventually I stopped feeding him in the night too! And now he doesn't know what boobies are for (other than making mummum squeal when he pinches them!!!)

Anyone looking in boots for ashton and parson powders (finally got them for myself) they are not at the baby bit, they are up on the medicine isle. Which I thought was weird.

Also, they have some winter tights and socks half price, so I stocked up on 3 pair white for £3.50 and red, cream and purple for £4.00.

I also may or may not have looked at an iPhone in the O2 shop. Luckily the staff are that damn slow my hatred of junkies impatience got the better of me and I stalked out in a big huff when another waster gentleman got served before me.

Sounds like it could be wind. Have you tried Infacol? Is she giving you good big burps? If anyone tells you a BF baby doesn't need winding they are talking poop!!

Don't worry about baby in the bed ATM (as long as you are fine with her being there). She is too young to know any difference or get into any 'bad habits' she just needs to know that you are there - she is still very tiny and only just getting used to this new scary world.

Sorry, I didn't catch up to see if you had sorted feeding laying down?

As my HV would say, if it's not a problem for you then it's not a problem. I never planned to have H in our bed, but if it gets me some decent sleep when he's having a bad night then that suits me fine!

Beautiful day here, off to rhyme time in a bit.

Has anyone seen the TT microwave steriliser on offer in any high street shops (as opposed to ordering online)? I want to pick one up for MIL's house but need it for tomorrow. Thanks!

GISI I sterilise in a Tupperware box when the steriliser is nowhere to be found. The TT steriliser is the same thing only with a vent on the top and my microwave pops the lid of the box when the pressure's too high anyway :)

And [strike]Husband[/strike] we have lost the cupholder from the Stokke on the way to/from the airport :(

  • What do you sterilise SS (out of interest)?

You are not going to admit to being a secret spoon steriliser are you? :p

Would a tupperware box and some sterilising tablets not do at a push?
My microwave steriliser wouldn't fit in the stupid microwave, so i'm using milton tablets at the minute, but you can pick up generic ones at supermarkets or chemists for 60-70p.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: no. I sterilise binkies when she has flung them onto the floor of the train or into dirt, and I sterilise my mooncup when I'm done with it and right before I need it again.

Molly has just commando-crawled her way across the room to my handbag, rummaged through it and removed my purse, which she is now enthusiastically nomming. She loves the purse and appears to have specifically hunted it down.

Benjamin has a thing for my purse too! He pulls notes out of it and waves them at me - I think I taught my baby a little too much about shopping :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh my, I keep getting more detail than I bargained for with you ladies!! I really should stop being quite so nosey!!
