He just looks at food and decides he doesn't like it, very picky! he barely ever asks for food throughout the day....if I didn't make lunch and shout him in/down for it he wouldn't ask for any, he just isn't bothered about eating. I even have to offer him snacks throughout the day because he doesn't ask for any.

Would looking at recipe books and letting him pick a dish and help with the cooking be useful? Mine have all liked doing that and seemed to eat more because they made it themselves.

Sorry to hear of your bad day Kindof. Hope you get a decent nights sleep and things look better in the morning.

Last year on holiday, the hotel played the Good Morning song from Singing in the Rain every morning at 10am when the activites started. Cheesy I know! Anyway the boys hated the song and kept complaining about it. We're staying overnight in Manchester on Sunday night and have to get up about 5am on Monday morning. Hubby has just downloaded that song onto his iPhone and set it as the alarm song. The boys will go crackers :rotfl:

I meant to say earlier, mel, your dinner situation sound exactly like ours, OH gets stressed with jake cos he wont eat alot, and he literally would be happy just having a few mouthfulls a day, jasmine eats more than him im sure of it!! like your ds, he very rarely says he's hungry, but he does have a sweet tooth and quite often asks for treats,
its actually at the point if OH is there when we're all eating i try to make something i know j will eat to avoid hassle, which tbh i shouldnt have to do, OH should just keep his trap shut and leave me to it, cos the way ive been doing it, ie leaving him to it, has actually been working and in the past couple of weeks he's tried so many new foods, been v proud of him, the funny thing was the other day i dished up some scampi (first time for jake:o) and OH was in the kitchen saying 'he'l never eat that blah blah' he ate the lot!!!:D

Hugs KOAG hope you and Oh are ok xx

Mel all i can suggest is the tiniest possible portions and slowly building them up week by week? i have the opposite problem here with Charlie over eating and the rest always asking!

SJ do u know that vitalite is suitable for vegans!!! saves a fortune on the expensive vegan spreads :D

The blanket seems to be a success!! we have a sleeping boy! i did keep him up a little later than i thought but i think i will start later and then move his bedtimes back. Im going to look into a blackout blind as i think this may also be confusing him? But as you ladies have told me before its all tiny baby steps and the first one has worked :D:D:D
Its so hot here, i have all the windows open and im melting. going to have a quick tidy and head to bed its my step dads and sisters birthday tom so we are having a BBQ at their house and im not sure whats planned for my birthday on sun?
What's for you won't go past you
  • Grrr - I hate, hate, hate the Tesco website. It has taken me hours to do my order and whilst I may have been distracted, life would be so much easier if they had a decent website!

Hugs to mummies and babies (and daddies)

Nice to see Tigs in briefly - sending love to you and Marley and Andrew.

Massive get well vibes to James.

    Morning

Busy busy day here. Off to boot camp shortly, then got two audits to do for work. One is in an Asda so I'll go bra hunting :D Will have to type the audits up later and have some audio typing and another small project to finish, then I'm officially off work :D

Need to wash our bed linen and bathroom towels so they are fresh for when we come back, iron the clothes I washed yesterday, hoover and generally tidy up.

Will pack in the morning as we don't leave until after lunch.

Have a good day all xx

SJ that cheesecake sounds lush! I don't suppose it's a weight watcher's recipe is it?! I've seriously fallen off the wagon this week after telling Aless how easy it is to stick to. Fresh head and fresh start tomorrow I think.

It's not a WW recipe however I have removed all but 3 of the calories so I can eat it guilt-free ;) This is also what I do with the cupcakes :p :rotfl:

Thanks Caz, didn't know that about vitalite. Not sure how much the sunflower based marg was but prob more expensive than vitalite! I am going to have the vitalite advert song in my head all day now though!
